Description: ZONA Budapest is clearly something completely different - haute cuisine with an unusual twist and an amazing view onto the Chain Bridge. Its latest success reflects the same: in October 2013 the international guide of Gault&Millau rated ZONA 17 points and 3 toques, so named as one of the TOP3 restaurants in Hungary. The menu is daily variable, but the quality and the surprise factor is standard. ZONA's chef is Krisztian Huszar (Chef Of The Year 2011) brings Eastern and Basque flavors into modern Hungarian tastes. The wines also receive a big emphasis in the restaurant, which gives real specialty to the venue. IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to construction works the whole street has been closed, and will remain so until the end of Summer, so ZONA can be only reached by walk, bicycle or taxi. We truly apologise for any inconveniences caused and hope that your experiences at our venue will make you forget about them.

We went at Zona for lunch today, and we were very surprised about the level of quality of the food and friendly staff. You can see and taste that the chef is a perfectionist. We definitely go back for another great lunch. Highly recommended !!

I am so glad that a local told me about this gem of a restaurant prior to my arrival in Budapest. I wish I could transport back in time and savor all of the wonderful flavor bursts my palate experienced. So, I went here for lunch after a local was gushing to me about this place. It's so easy to... More

I have been twice recently and will soon add more visits. The set-up and the offer adds something new to Budapest. I live in Budapest and have seen many places come and go, and yet Zona brings a something new. It is not a single factor, but the fact that it has a somewhat different approach to Asian Fusion using... More

I went to the zona for lunch. They have special lunch menu in addition to their a la carte menu. The menu , which was dreamy cream and seafood soup, grilled calamary and refreashing 3 pieces dessert , was perfect. The fact it costs average lunch price in regular Budapest restaurant emphysis the best value for money place. Un addition... More

Zona is a spectacular gem of a restaurant in Budapest. I have traveled the word to dine at outstanding restaurants including the finest Michelin starred restaurants in SanFrancisco, Paris, New York and Chicago. Zona is not in the Michelin Guide but it should be! I found most restaurants in Budapest to be unremarkable but then I learned of Zona and... More

I went here with my husband and our friend during our vacation. They ordered the set menu and I ordered an starter and a main, plus we all had dessert. The amberjack fish with watermelon soup was so creative and unique. Everything was INCREDIBLY delicious!! Surprisingly, this was actually our 3rd choice because we tried to get into two different... Elite food, very attentive staff, and great wine pairings. I made an account just to share how much I enjoyed my experience at Zona. It was their last night before a break due to construction, yet they squeezed us in last minute. We enjoyed all six courses and each had at least one individual component that really completed the dish.... More

We came here late at night strolling back to the hotel and decided to have a glass of wine. The atmosphere in Zona is great, the personnel attentive and the wine selection superb. Right now the promenade in front of Zona is being renovated, but once that's done it should become even more attractive to go there. It is hip... More

Featured in the Wallpaper guidebook and recommended by our hotel staff, ZONA is situated in an ordinary looking building on the riverside road of the River Danube on the Buda side of the city. The interior space is double height contemporary design with a trendy feel to it. Sit up front near the bar to enjoy the best ambience. The... More
