Every tiny detail of the renewed ZONA is inspired by our trips to global cities.

The cuisine is influenced by their diversity, the respect for their cultural heritage and the current gastronomic trends. Exciting flavors, blustering colors unite in a unique location by the Buda side of Chain Brindge, but almost in the downtown. We add an honest, accomodating but professional table service to make your stay a unique experience, so we could show what guest and restaurant relation really means to us.

ZONA got 17 Gault Millau points in the past two years (3 hats) and received Dining Guide's Restaurant of the Year award last year.

Wonderful restaurant

My girlfriend and I had the best dining experience of our trip here. The staff were so helpful and friendly, and even had the confidence to crack a couple of jokes to make us feel more at home. Even the manager in his sharp suit was carrying out waiting duties! The food was incredible. The rabbit... read more

Would Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Came here on recommendation from a Book on Budapest and were not disappointed. Food was delicious, staff were very welcoming and friendly and very attentive. Great meal out and not overly expensive, the food rivalled anything we get here in the UK for a fraction of the price.

We are spending a few days in Budapest for my partners birthday and we wanted something special but not too formal or overpriced for her birthday dinner. Zona was perfect. Beautiful tasty food and friendly caring staff who could not have been more attentive. We would recommend it to anyone.

All the dishes were amazing , delicios . No too much complications , trendy but understandable food you eat there . My lamb... More

I am a Brit and for years I have lived on the Buda side .With the restoration of the Neo Classical Varkert we have waited for such a place .. If you live on the Pest side just take a walk accross the Chain Bridge .That will be a great aperitif .Turning left onto Lancid you are almost there.. The... More

The place is beautifully decorated, the staff OK and my menu was good. Unfortunately ZONA is way overpriced and the extra 15% "service" charge wasnt so pleasant surprise. In my point of view, tips are something what you should earn with a good service. Budapest is full of fantastic restaurant, this is good but not on my TOP5 list.

Fabulous dinner at ZONA! Thanks for the memories! Prices are on an average Budapest restaurant level, but different. Better. Menu is short but well thought out. One of my favourites.

Loved our dinner at ZONA. Great design, great location with view to the chain bridge, amazing wines, beautiful food, friendly and efficient service. Also v good value, especially if you're on the pound in Budapest. Would highly recommend it.

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighborhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
