Doblo Wine & Bar is situated in the heart of Budapest, between Deak square and Astoria in the near vicinity of Kiraly street and Gozsdu Passage, on the corner of Dob and Hollo streets The old Jewish district is the new Soho! Besides being a bar Doblo is the place for your exclusive events. The near 100m2 guest space is in a corner shop that has seven arches of windows and doors to the street. The old brickwork walls fusion well with the modern design giving Doblo the mixed feeling of a New York loft and a wine cellar. The owner, David Popovits created the harmony of the interior with old furniture, design tables, chandeliers, a modern bar with fixed stools and a personal touch in each small detail. We at Doblo Wine & Bar specialize in exclusive events such as corporate occasions, specialized wine and spirit tastings, press conferences, professional events, product shows, birthdays, weddings or friends' get togethers. The homey atmosphere, the friendly service and our deep expertise in Hungarian wine are the key to your perfect event. Our wine menu consists of over a 100 carefully selected wines. We cater for your every need from the "Wine Map of Hungary". Beyond wine, we have a great selection of Palinka - the Hungarian fruit brandy, and naturally a fine set of international spirits. As for food we serve a traditional selection of hams, sausages, cheeses, truffeled bits or even crispy goose skin. Fresh bread, and our special pickled zucchini and crown complete the best downtown cold plate experience. We also cater for any of your special needs with the possibility for hot food. Doblo Wine & Bar is easily accessible by public transport and there is a safe parking possibility for your vehicle right next door: EZ Parking Doblo Wine & Bar is a non smoking venue!

Great Evening, Great Wine Tasting

This is a lovely bar with a quiet ambience. We tucked ourselves away in a corner of the bar and had a great evening tasting local Hungarian wines with an amble plate of meats and cheese to go with it. Two whites, One Rose, Two reds and a dessert wine (healthy measures - they didn't skimp) and all... read more

Great atmosphere in this place, we opted for the mini wine tasting and they were all delicious, the waiter gave great descriptions of the wine and was very helpful. I definitely recommend it!

I had my first experience with wine tasting at this bar and was a lot fun. The staff was very friendly and they had a lot of knowledge of the different wines etc. Very nice place, and it's in a great location with other bars and restaurants.

this is a great wine bar. The decor is wonderful and very atmospheric. The service is great, the waiter spent some time explaining the wines... Over 200 choices! We had two bottles of Hungarian wine which was really nice and very reasonable. The food is 'snack' like, but a great accompaniment for the wine. The decor, the atmosphere and the... More

The place is looking good, nice decor. But: If I go to a wine bar I except a knowledgeable sommelier from whom I can learn something... I found nice staff, very young, that have no idea about wines trying to cover the lack of expertise. Maybe I picked the wrong day but I left after 20 minutes...

I come to this wine bar ever time I'm in Budapest. On this most recent visit, I took my parents, who did a "hello tourist" wine tasting. The service was exceptional, with the staff carefully explaining each wine, the region it came from, the grapes, and aspects of its bouquet that were uniquely Hungarian. Besides the great "wine tour" the... More

We spent a nice couple of hours here sampling two types of wine apiece and a snack of pickles and crispy duck skin, don't laugh. My favorite was a Cabernet franc, full-bodies and aromatic. If you are looking for a quiet place to sit and sip this is a potential, but Dob Utica is worth exploring for it's many other... More

A great place to relax. Stunning wine list, nice decor, looks a little pretentious from the outside, but when you're inside and you hear the music and see what's on offer, you can really chill. Being slightly off the main track its a quieter alternative during the day to similar places like Di Vino, and the wine list is just... More

An excellent wine bar. Personal and almost exclusive service. Great wines. Head here instead of Szimpla round the corner.

My husband had the Hello Tourist 6-wine tasting and absolutely loved it. All six were very good wines, some really excellent. Very helpful/knowledgable young man explained each one with just the right level of detail. Great map on the menu to learn the lay of the land regarding the 22 Hungarian wine regions and what grapes each grows. (As others... More
