Wonderful Hungarian and French food

This is an elegant restaurant with quality food and outstanding service. The roast goose was exceptional. The Hungarian wines were of good quality and priced well. Others in our party had goulash which was very tasty. The wait staff was helpful with suggestions and the service was top notch.

I was with my miniature poodle out and about and saw this restaurant's review and made a special effort to walk there in 36°C temperatures only to be turned away because of the dog. What a shame.

Our tour group had dinner here, and the wait staff was excellent. So professional. The food was also good. The breakfast buffet was over the top. Would love to go back, but probably never.

Arrived slightly late in the evening following a delayed flight, so most people had probably already eaten, but were greeted with a smile, offered the choice of tables, and presented with a fairly extensive menu, virtually all of which was still available. First taste of goulash soup, and a very good version, to start an otherwise 'light meal' but all... More

The food and service is excellent. Very reasonable prices. Ask your hotel to book a table as it gets very busy.

We saw 4.5 stars on trip advisor so thought we would give it a try. Worst service I've ever had in my life. The steak was so dry ( I ordered it medium it was so dry and over cooked) we had to go in and flag the waitress for refill of water or to order mustard. Overall horrible experience

We attended the Hungarian evening and to be honest we weren't sure what to expect as this is not normally our type of food , however we were more than pleasantly surprised by the lovely food on offer. It was presented in a buffet style allowing us the chance to try dishes that maybe we would not have normally tried... More

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
