I liked being here. It felt like a place that locals go to. It's a cavernous space and has a Manhattan loft vibe. I over ordered--an appetizer of goulash would have filled me for the entire meal. I also ordered the beef stroganoff, which was excellent. Just too much overall. But a good problem to have. I do recommend!

My husband and I were doing laundry across the street from this restaurant and the gentleman who was managing the laundromat suggested we eat across the street while our laundry was in progress. What a terrific suggestion!!! We had Hungarian goulash, and the side cucumber salad, sliced very thin was exceptional also. The service was great, and had we stayed,... More

The food is tasty, the staff helpful, the interior is fine. And they have jazz concerts every night. What else would a tourist need?

We ended up at this cafe for late afternoon lunch because it was so close to our hotel but it was a great find. Authentic food and atmosphere and very reasonably priced. It was quiet this time of day but I expect it would be quite busy with live music later in the evening. One of our favorite meals in... More

We ate here early after a long and unexpectedly hot travel day. As such, we just had a light meal and undoubtedly missed much of the ambience that is present when the place is bustling. However, the food we did have was refreshing and the service was friendly. The prices appeared to be very good value. While paying with credit... More

If you do not have any clue for your dinner and you love jazz music Lado is a great place. We found a nice staff; good goulash, beef and a pleasant jazz band performing each saturday and sunday.I could not find any better for the first dinner: near; a lovely atmosphere and not expensive. I really recommend this club.

Stayed around the corner at an apartment and this was close and the perfect way to start your day. Hungarian style breakfasts and great latte. Service was great and restaurant had wifi to plan for the days ahead.

My boyfriend and I ate here on our first night in Budapest because it was close to our hostel and had great reviews. We couldn't have asked for a better first meal! The staff was very kind and helpful with meal recommendations, and the food was fantastic. The goulash soup was incredible. We also enjoyed the live music; on Mondays,... More

After reading other reviews we made a visit for dinner. This is a lovely intimate restaurant with get attentive service in what looks much more up scale than the prices suggest. We were so pleasantly surprised to have a great meal, excellent service, fantastic music all for the price of one of the "cafes" elsewhere. For a relaxing and enjoyable... More
