Delicious home-made cakes made in traditional hungarian style. Genuine milieu and not too touristy like many other places around. Very sweet owner. Recommended!

Who knew?! But it was very refreshing. A couple of times earlier in my visit to Budapest I had passed this cafe on my way to the Music History Museum but it was not open. As you are facing the Hilton hotel, the cafe is down the street about a block or so on your left. It is actually the... More

Small but cozy cafe with quality apple pie and lemonade. Friendly owner and free wifi. Great place to just chill after touring around the castle district, recommended!

This cafe is up a street in the castle district and not as busy as the usual tourist sites. But it's a good place for a coffee and quick snack without paying the usual tourist prices. We met a couple who also live in the courtyard, and the husband insisted on showing us the caves underneath their home - an... More

A stones throw from the busy touristy area and it's great quality at reasonable prices. A nice find in a very touristy area.

This place is right in th center and it serves good coffees and sandwiches. It is ideal for a quick snack or a morning brunch. More reasonably priced than all the rest.

A stone's throw from the thronging tourists around St Mathias Templom and the castle battlements, Walzer Cafe is a little gem set in a courtyard off the elegant Tancsics Mihaly utca. Here you'll find an extensive range of coffees expertly made by the barista owner who is as enchanting and accommodating a hostess as you could wish for. The charm... More

We weren't expecting to find anywhere that was reasonably priced and un-touristy in this part of Buda but the Walzer Cafe was just what we were looking for at lunchtime on a hot day. We ordered the lemonade and sandwiches and then stayed to try the extensive coffee menu because we enjoyed the atmosphere in the nice courtyard. Service was... More

We thought there would be food there, but it was just coffee. Nothing really special, not worth a special trip but nice to stop for a coffee if in the area.
