A nice surprise for our daily dinner since it was January and snowing. Nice people cosy ambience.

Suggested by our hotel just around the corner it became very handy and quite a nice place. The menu has different chances and one can go there for one week and there is always something good to eat. The week I was in Budapest I was very hill, therefore I didn't feel much like to eat a huge... read more

After trying to get into three different fully booked restaurants we had been recommended we were almost de desperate for food. As desperate this restaurant was for guests and Tripadvisor judgements. The waiter opened the door and asked us in when we were at the other side of the small square. He or some other waiter also gave us a... More

Very nice and cozy interior, good service, great location in city centre. I love the roast goose leg with braised red cabbage and onion mashed potatoes. The best food in Budapest! All in gluten free.

Amazing service, very attentive waiters. The food was incredible! Try the duck breast, it's so tasty. We had 3 courses each for 5 people with 2 bottles of wine, numerous cocktails and about 4 beers and it worked out as £30 each. Amazing value for amazing food. Would most definitely recommend!

My partner and myself were eating breakfast here. The atmosphere is pretty chic, coffee was tasty and nicely served. When I asked for a continental breakfast to be served with double cheese instead of ham the waiter said it was not possible, and that everything is served the way it's written in the menu. First time I ever got the... More

We have been two times here already. The service was both times an issue. No attention to the guests, long waiting times. The second time the waiter was arrogant and unfriendly. The food is average however expensive for the value. The lunch menu sometimes ok if you are lucky...

Just stumbled upon this place, and I'm happy I did. The waiter brought the menu (while still standing outside), no attempt for a hard sell, just good service. It looked interesting enough to give it a try. The menu has a lot of choice, some of them are just hilarious (...in a good way...) and I could easily have found... More

We had a fantastic Hungarian feast at Vendiak! Kudos to the Chef and waiters! Zsolt, our waiter, was very attentive. He even brought us a small portion of noodles with cottage cheese and bacon to try. So delicious! The chicken paprika was sooooo good! The restaurant is in an easy location - the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. We would... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
