Awesome little pub with great vegetarian food and low prices, but I was most impressed with the atmosphere and the sheer friendliness of the staff. Well worth a visit.

Very good food for low prices, relatively small sortiment of beer but the ones they have are good. Service was great, food was served quickly. Would recommend a visit, even if your not vegetarian ^^

A wonderful little bar with a quaint gallery with cushions and cute sitting areas upstairs- precarious looking but actually really nice. Amazing Hungarian-style veggie/vegan food, especially the soup. Incredibly friendly staff and amazing atmosphere. The only downside is that it's closed on weekends. Also, try the smoked ale. A unique combination of real ales and great veggie food. A must... More

An excellent, no frills place. Simple and delicious vegetarian pub food, good local and foreign beers, Hungarian wines, and if you care - pálinka (different local fruit brandy shots). Very friendly stuff at the counter - do not expect table service though. Have been there many times, and once even invited my steak-loving carnivore friend - he was positively surprised... More

This is vegan hippie food and it is really good. The food is great, the beer is great, the atmosphere is fun and casual. It really reminds me of places in the 1970's in small towns where being real was the most important thing. It's worth the walk out of the tourist area to eat here, but be warned it... More

This is a nice little eatery with a bar popular amongst locals. I think we were one of the few tourists that came here. However the food was good and cheap, even for Hungarian standards.

We walked quite a ways to get there, but it was worth it. Very kind and gentle service, wholesome food, and I agree with the black IPA beer comment, a must in your order! Nothing fancy.

We shared a pita plate and had a quesadilla each and really liked it. Great vegetarian pub food which was pretty cheap. The star of the show though, was the black IPA the staff recommended. Even if the food had been bad, I would still have rated them 5 for that alone! (and if the owners read this, I would... More

We were staying in Budepest Guest Rooms (excellent) and had been recommended a restaurant near to this but we stumbled across the Black Cat by accident. We love a wide range of food and after having lots of meat for a few days in Vienna, we ready to have the delicious meals on offer here. The female staff member explained... More

Had a delicious vegetable stew in this cosy establishment. Very friendly bar staff who spoke great English. They explained each dish to us and didn't rush at all even though the kitchen was due to close very soon. Great selection of beers too. We ate upstairs where there are no chairs but lots of comfy cushions. Mind your head if... More
