So a taste from home which we thoroughly enjoyed. Also a very good price in comparison to other places in Europe.

It's called a "cafe" but really it's a restaurant, with extra emphasis on coffee. We came in a larger group for dinner on a weekday - the place was mostly empty, which is probably due to their slightly upscale prices. I had a roast salmon with cooked vegetables and was very satisfied with it. Colleagues likewise with the variety of... More

Cafe Alibi used to be my favorite cafe anytime of the day, but recently (last year or so) nearly every time I've gone in, especially when the owner is not there, the staff just couldn't care less. Either it's that they are not being paid well, the tips are included in the bill or the owner just doesn't care anymore... More

We're breakfast lovers and it's not always easy to find breakfast/brunch when you're abroad. This place has a decent selection of breakfast options, decent prices and great coffee drinks. The service was also very good and everyone spoke English. The location is also very handy for stopping en route to see other Budapest sites.

We stopped in for dinner late around 8:30 pm. The menu is small but varied, and I found the food wonderful. I had roast duck and sweet potato puree, with the orange cream and poppy seed cake for dessert. It was all wonderful. The service was slow, but normal for a dinner that's meant to be savored with good conversation. They... More

Sunday afternoon we decided to sit outside in a wonderful place in the down town, called Cafe Alibi. Though there were only few guests, it took 15 minutes for the waiters to serve our drinks. I've got my juice which was full of lemon seeds... We were there for 2 hours, waiters never returned unless we chased them. Drinks were... More

I came at breakfast time, you have several options, it is not a really a wide menu but good enough to satisfy almost everyone. Coffee was good and the food was too. It is a nice and calm place but nothing special.

I have lived in Budapest for 15 years and this is one of the best coffee houses in the city. The owner Loci is always around making sure the place is how it should.

This small bistro is on the edge of Egyeten Ter, where my husband, adult daughter and I are renting an apartment. We ate dinner there tonight, and I think it was the best meal we have had since we left the USA 8 days ago. It is a small place with a cozy, upscale, mid-European atmosphere. We ate indoors, but...
