Great cosy brunch

Had an excellent brunch here in a relaxed and unfussy setting. A mixed group coming and going didn't throw off the excellent staff, who kept us well provided with tasty sausages, excellent breads and pastries and a big range of drinks which seemed good across the board. If you want a drink a good coffee that is your place. One presso coffee cost is about 500 Ft (1,5 Eu). Waiters are nice and kindfully. If you have lactose problems but you love cappuccino they can give you cappucciono with lactose free milk.

I first stumbled across this place for a quick breakfast and enjoyed the decor and atmosphere so decided to return for dinner with a friend a few days later. My positive opinion of the place only increased with the evening service. Food was delicious and they were very accomodating of my friend's requests for food changes and the jovial atmosphere... We've been on holiday for valentines in Hungary and after walking around a lot in Budapest we chose this restaurant for valentines dinner. We were not disappointed, it was amazing, sublime, perfect, I can't find more superlatives to define this restaurant. We had four courses with selected wines and every single bite was exquisite. The staff was friendly and not... More

Dear Marthyn! Thank you very much for your positive reponse. It really mean a lot to us, because we know that we are doing a good job. With a new Chef and enthusiastic team we created in Café Alibi a real hungarian bistro, we call it ALIBEE BISTRO. We would like to position this little restaurant as an evening place... More

Having just been able to check into our hotel upon arriving in Budapest, we decided to seek out Cafe Alibi - it was a reasonable enough distance for us to walk to and get an initial feel for the city - after reading the positive reviews here. Unfortunately we were a little too late to try the lunchtime specials, which... More

The brunch for 2 people has a good size but do not seem any traditional. Everything was weel cooked and prepared. We reggret that real breakfast (w. bacon and eggs) is not available after 12. Nice ambiance. Good café around the corner.
