Food and coffee kings

If in Budapest you have to jump by a breakfast. Traveling a lot I know how hard is to find a place you feel served like highly professional but still with the best humbleness for food and coffee. Go my fellow travelers and enjoy:-)

We were lucky to get to cafe Alibi on Saturday. This was not planned, but it turns out that on the weekends there are special breakfasts such as the perfect Croque Madamme we had. The atmosphere is cosmopolitan and almost Parisian, and the orange juice is freshly squeezed. Highly recommended, especially on weekends!

Went on Easter Sunday. Champagne to start your day! Very prompt service, but we did get in just before it got busy. Food was excellent and prepared. I would suggest not going if you have a large case or luggage with you. Can get a little tight

Nice and quiet. Good choice of breakfasts, coffees and juices. Pastries with home made jam. Reasonable pricing.

Tried this restaurant for brunch on a Sunday morning. They also serve breakfast daily. Lovely staff and nice atmosphere. You can either choose formulas including an egg dish, a hot beverage, croissant and juice or you can do like we did a choose a la carte. I have tried the vegetarian omelet topped with lots of grated cheese it was... More

We went to Alibi Hotel for our first breakfast in Budapest. The caffee is within walking distance of Vaci utca and right next to the university. I chose the Alibi breakfast menu, which included scrambled eggs with bread, orange juice, a latte and one croissant - all for a bit over 7 eur. The food was very tasty and the... More

We had dinner in this restaurant on our first night in Budapest. We had the goulash soup, followed by steak (DH) and a Czech chicken dish. No sweet as we were too full. Good service and good prices

Had an excellent brunch here in a relaxed and unfussy setting. A mixed group coming and going didn't throw off the excellent staff, who kept us well provided with tasty sausages, excellent breads and pastries and a big range of drinks which seemed good across the board. Comfortable, thoughtful, food prepared well and tasty, very highly recommended for those in... More
