Wish we had discovered it sooner! Neighborhood coffee house serving good breakfasts and creative selection of dishes for lunch and dinner. Good atmosphere!

I would say food has been rather good, but not oustanding, not something that you would remember for ages. Asparagus soup was okay, salmon with seasonal vegetables was quite nice, just like the tagliatelle with mushroom and duck breast. Dessert was of medium quality. The atmosphere is very pleasing, and quite relaxed, as you would expect in a university neighbourhood.... More

We had the final meal of our 6 day trip in Alibi last week. A great relaxing lunchtime treat in the snug. Little rounds of grilled frois gras on toast and a perfect salad of mixed greens with a sweet/ tart blueberry dressing for me and a prawn risotto for him. Perfect risotto. Good glass of wine . They have... More

We had a nice breakfast at Cafe Alibi during our recent visit to Budapest, greatly enjoying the atmospheric dining area and good food served here. Cafe Alibi is a cozy bistro with a mix of old-world decor and a youthful vibe. The dining area is charming, just a very nice place to take your morning breakfast. Staff spoke English well... More

My partner and I recently visited Budapest. Luckily for us, Cafe Alibi was on the corner close to our hotel (The Three Corners Hotel Art). We were enticed to have our first evening meal there after peering in through the windows and seeing a very chic and cosy cafe. The food was top quality - extremely good value, fresh ingredients... Charming little cafe on University Square that does good all day breakfast. Nice traditionally furnished couple of rooms. Friendly service including for the fact that the waitress obligingly turned down the rather obtrusive Latin canned music.

We went here for breakfast. Beautiful little place with friendly staff. The scrambled eggs were quite good; the coffee maybe the best I had in Budapest (and in decent-sized cups, as well).

On a new year's day the breakfast for 2 was just amazingly delicious, as well as the coffee and the smoothies. Would go there again any time. Cozy atmosphere with cuddle corners and old coffee making machines.

Lovely friendly coffee shop, seemed traditional and very friendly, didn't get to try the coffee but the roasting machine was intriguing and the wine was great too

Saw this place had good reviews. It did not disappoint. Super cute on the inside. We ordered the eggs and ham with coffee. They were good but after we saw someone else order the Budapest scrambled eggs - wish we had ordered that. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice relaxing breakfast.
