A romantic bistro, quaint and full of atmosphere, with live music playing. Rich French cuisine and no options for vegetarians. We were a party of friends and we tried different things: I had stuffed quail with jerusalem artichokes and it was delicious. I also tried the ravioli and the braised pork. Portions were a little small, but the presentation was... More

We visited this Bistro after reading reviews on here and also as it was close to our hotel. We were not disappointed! I had ravioli to start and my wife had the lambs liver, both excellent. We then followed with braised ox cheek and I had duck. Again really good. We couldn't manage a dessert but finished with hot drinks... More

Went by chance as the restaurant was located right next to the hotel. We went for the tasting menu with matching wines and enjoyed the experience. Food was a really good quality and staff were friendly. The only thing that we were not sure about was we didn't receive a matching wine with each course and thought it was a... More

The food and service was excellent. The waiter was very knowledgable about the food and where it was sourced. We were seated upstairs which gave us a lot of space to ourselves which was nice. We were able to try a few wines before picking which seems common in Budapest, something that the UK could learn from!

We decided to visit this restaurant based on trip advisor reviews and the distance from our hotel. We were not disappointed. I'm so pleased we had decided on this restaurant rather than just walking past. We were early, before 7pm, it was a Tuesday evening in the middle of January and the restaurant was empty. On a normal walk by... More

We visited the restaurant in November and it was excellent. The menu is short, as it should be and the food very good. The service though was really excellent. The waiter was very kind and willing to explain the dishes properly and answer to our questions as well. They even tried to translate an ingredient in our mother tongue. We... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
