Our party of four went on a Thursday night, and it was busy enough to make us feel glad that we had booked. The dining experience was very relaxed, so don't expect to drop in for a quick bite before going on elsewhere - this is a 'destination' restaurant, and a very good one too! We could not fault the... We stopped there spontaneously for dinner with our toddler, and didn't regret choosing this place. Lovely setting on a quiet side street, very friendly service, and of course the food was superb. It is rather pricey for average Budapest eatery but certainly a bargain for this quality compared to other European capitals. Even their selection of wine by glass was... More

Had a beautiful dinner with family and baby. There was no feeling of disturbance, or annoyed attitude when seeing we have a baby with. From greeting to seating everyone in the restaurant was very smiley and kind. We got a "tour" of the menu and special recommendations by the chef both in English and Hungarian. From the special home baked... More

It was our last day in Budapest and we decided to look for a good restaurant. We found Borsso Bistro with good reviews. It completely fulfilled our expectations. A romantic evening with great food and the most impressive part was the service. Specially a waiter named Peter. We tried a dessert that was so good. The experience could be even... More

Lovely restaurant and the staff are very attentive and polite. The food was wonderful and so was the wine I opted for the pork and my husband had the Ox cheek, could not fault the food at all. Would highly recommend this restaurant and will definately be re-visiting on our return to Budapest.

We enjoyed everything about this place - the walkability, the quiet, cobblestone alley location, our little table up in the loft, the fantastic food (from app to dessert), and the great service.

We were in Budapest for a few days following a 5 star experience on a Viking River cruise. We thought it would be hard to find food that would be as good as what we had been served on the cruise. We found this Gem through Trip Advisor and it was the best food we had in Budapest. We were... More
