My curry place in the heart of Budapest

I often came here to have lunch. The quality of the curry was always fine, soups were very spicy! The quality of the dishes were always fine, the waiter was helpful. Serving was always quick enough to finish my lunch in 30-40 minutes. It is a good option to have curry in the downtown of Budapest!

Lovers of Indian food will enjoy a meal here. Saag paneer was creamy, flavorful, with nice pieces of paneer. Lamb karhai featured tender pieces of lamb in a tasty sauce. Garlic naan and tandoori roti were nicely done. The menu features an appealing selection of vegetarian and nonvegetarian dishes, and service was excellent. Located on a small street across from... It was satisfactory for my Indian craving. The service was good too. I can't remember details since it was some time ago.

This restaurant is owned by a Sindhi from Bombay seems to have a virtual monopoly of the expats, visiting vips from India & the flood of tour groups that throng that place. It is also very ideally located in one of the upscale area of bustling Budapest city but in a quiet side lane of Four Seasons Hotel which faces the landmark... We love this place. Its spicy and flavoursome. No A/C so in the heat and a spicy curry you need plenty of water. We have been four or five times and every time there is lots of Indian people here, which tells a story. The Chickpea dish is amazing and I am no vegetarian.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
