Good Indian Food

Good Indian food, would recommend. The prices are bit higher than the Hungarian standards but Indian food is considered pretty exotic in Budapest, so why not!! Food is fresh and tasty as it tastes in India, good service!!!

I recently had dinner here with my partner. The food was not bad, but not exceptionally good either. Service was decent, efficient, nothing memorable. The interior of the place could really benefit from someone with a bit of taste. If you are looking for Indian food and you'd just like to eat, this is a good place. If you'd like... More

We had a fabulous dinner here on our first night in Budapest. Highly recommended. The chicken kathi rolls were a great appetizer as well.

They have a lot, simply a lot of variety of food on their menu. So even if you are not a big fan of Indian food, you can choose whatever you want in this restaurant. The environment was very calm and comfortable and the service was quite satisfactory! They seemed to care what visitors want. Great place to eat in... More

This is just a regular Indian restaurant of which you'd find tons across European countries. I ordered a plate of various starters, which were okay-ish, and ordered an extra spicy chicken biryani. This proved not spicy at all, and the biryani was just an mix of baked rice and some seasoned chicken, Nothing to do with a real biryani. Nothing... More

Amongst the various restaurants that we visited in the three cities, Vienna, Prague and Budapest during our Xmas vacations, Salaam Bombay was really noticeable for its quality of food and service. It was truly value for money. Authentic Indian Food, good variety of vegetarian options at remarkably low prices. The Bombay Aloo was yummy indeed. The service was excellent. The... More

My family and I went to this restaurant 2 days in a row. They have wide selections of menu both northern & southern Indian cuisine. The price is quite reasonable for the amount of food that they offer. Would recommend to new visitor/customer their naan bread, butter chicken and also their lamb briyani. Simply sumptuous Indian food in Europe!

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
