Description: “Red Mail Coach” – “Vörös Postakocsi” is traditional Budapest restaurant. It cannot be said, that the Vörös Postakocsi Restaurant in Ráday Street really stands out from the others, but anyone looking for a Hungarian culinary experience shouldn't pass it by. Originally opened in the early seventies, this traditional fully licensed restaurant, specializing in authentic Hungarian dishes, has been a firm favourite for over three decades, serving authentic, well-cooked and reasonably priced food to its predominantly local Clientèle. The restaurant offers a wide range of carefully selected meals from authentic and modern Hungarian cuisine. Traditionally heavy dishes are rendered light, courtesy of organic meat, dairy products and vegetables. The menu offers several vegetarian options. We formed the Red Mail Coach Restaurant’s Menu around the Foie Gras and other Hungarian specialities.The restaurant's wide selection of modern Hungarian wines is a treat for all. The Red Mail Coach Restaurant offers more than 70 kinds of bottled wine, half of which is also available by glass at very attractive prices.

This is a great restaurant, lots of room on a lively street. We went as a party of older girls (40+), although we have a much lower mental age as I am sure our very friendly, patient waiter will verify!! A really good place to eat. Great food excellent service. Waiters were very friendly and helpful. Would have no doubts recommending this restaurant .i chose it on the recommends of other trip advisors so I am pleased to say the system works, regards Daveymags Scotlmand

“Nice place, nice atmosphere”

We were tehre for a project dinner with around 30 people. The service was very nice and efficient. The food was good and traditional but some dishes were too salty (starters mainly). However it is a good memory, for a very good price (much quantity) the location is very nice too!

handy for Ibis centrum hotel and indeed recommended by them. Good choice of food and very pleasant waiting staff. Wine was very reasonable. would go again

The restaurant is situated not far from the metro station, but we took a taxi from our hotel. The restaurant was recommened by hotel reception and they also reserved a table for us. we had a wonderful weekend in Budapest together with friends and had dinner at Vörös Postakoczi. The restaurant is very nice, the food delicious and the waiters very polite. If you wanna spend a wonderful evening in Budapest, this is the right place for you!
