Excellent Dinner...grumpy service...but it added to it:-)

We opened the door at 9pm, we were welcomed with a "what do you want ? We close at 10!". Not the warmest of starts but it was all good after that...clearly in Hungary people go to bed early..so the challenge of eating dinner in 1 hour was set! Excellent mixed platter for 3, I had the chicken... read more

We had a nice dinner here and enjoyed the food. There is a good mix of traditional Hungarian Jewish food. The brisket was absolutely delicious! The owner was very friendly and helped us select wine to go with our food.

I had the goose matzo ball soup and it was the perfect remedy for a cold December day in Budapest! I loved it!

I feel as if I've gone to a different restaurant than the one rhapsodised by so many others before me. I went to a place where the food was just passable (vegetarians will certain disagree) for a hefty price. We had booked a table and on arrival urged to order quickly as a party of 25 was about to arrive.... More

I can say that they have the best cholent (sólet) in town after trying several Jewish-Hungarian restaurants in Budapest (including Rosenstein). The smoked/cured beef and the goose dishes are very good as well. The service is good, it is somewhat pricy and they give huge portions. Don't forget to book a table, it is very often fully booked.

My husband and I are in Budapest on vacation. I went to Trip Advisor looking for where to have dinner. Came across Fulemule, which was very close to our wonderful hotel (Hotel Zichy). My husband started with the bean goulash and it was very hearty. I started with the pumpkin soup. Wow!!!! That was excellent! I ordered the chicken paprika... More

The restaurant has a rather dark interior but it's cozy nevertheless. The service was really good and friendly. The food came quick. The offer for vegetarians like me wasn't too big but the couscous I had was very good and a lot. But the food my 2 friends had was just average and not that special.

One of my friends recommended this place. It was a good choice for a calm dinner. They accept reservations. I ate a Andrew Singers cholnet plate, it was the best cholnet I every eat before. They accept most of cards, and a service fee will be included.

We were a party of 4 and enjoyed this restaurant on 2 separate evenings. The restaurant was intimate, service was great and the food reminded me of the great Yiddish cooking from my childhood. It was also reasonably priced for such a quality meal. Foodies will love it!
