Very good food, very nice little restaurant. On a quite street. From the outside you might miss it or misunderstand it but the food was rich in flavour whatever we tried. Bean gulash, starter platter, beef stew, chicken paprika, wine, beer etc. I didnt understand why some people complained about it. I would recommended if asked.

I have booked table for 24ht of Dec for our Christmas dinner but no mention on reservation phase that there will be not their menu available but their overpriced "Xmas menu". We had to paid 50 EUR of very low cost, terrible cooked menu and we couldn´t even eat it. Many of visitors left their food even without touching to... More

My Mum and I visited Fulemule twice during our recent short trip to Budapest - we enjoyed our first visit so much that we went back again on our last night! We shared a mixed starter, with some interesting things including crispy goose skin, which was very like pork scratchings, hummus, salami, paprika cottage cheese... not quite your average starter... My wife and I had a terrible meal at fulemule. We shared a starter platter for two with hummus, "cream and egg" and a few other local specialities. Cold, greasy and cloying. For the main course I had the goose leg, dripping in fat and overcooked with the thickest most tasteless latkes i've ever had; while my wife had the... More

This is a lovely familly-owned restaurant with a nice "beginning/mid of 20th century" interieur. The waitress Hanna was welcoming us, as returning friends/guests though this was our first time here. She was helpful, friendly and smiling. I have heard also her English with foreigner guests, she was excellent. The traditional Jewish bean dish, "sólet" was authentic and tasteful and my... More

Good service and quite a varied menu. Very reasonable wine and we had an excellent Hungarian Merlot as well as 2 courses each. Tucked away but worth looking for.

Been here with friends, looking for traditional Hungarian cousine, and we found a small, family runned Hungarian - Jewish place, with a nice mix of the two nations typical foods. Our Spanish guests loved it, and I have to admit that it was better than expected. The fact that its a place owned by a family is felt all the... More

This restaurant was recommended by a fellow travel blogger who said they had their favorite meal in Budapest there. We made our way to this comfortable, unpretentious restaurant on a side street at the edge of the Jewish quarter. Fulemule specializes in Eastern European Jewish cuisine with a Hungarian twist. Although another reviewer said that the lack of English was... More

We came here on a Friday night, and we were the only diners for at least an hour, eventually another couple came and were seated right on top of us. The service was just odd, and the food was mediocre. We would not recommend and would not go back.

The bean Gyulash was probably the best dish In Budapest I had this trip. Homemade liberally spiced with house smoked beef brisket. The roast duck was delicious, chicken paprika was fine. A small family restaurant that specializes in Jewish-Hungarian cuisine I will go back there again
