Delicious and heartwarming

We were warmly greeted upon entering, the restaurant is both charming and sparkling clean. I really enjoyed the paprika chicken and the accompanying feather light spätzle like noodles. The cottage cheese pancakes were really delicious and the espresso very good also. Nice wines and friendly... read more

This is a famous successful Budapest restaurant that I've been planning on coming to for 2 years. I ordered 2 courses and was surprised when they quickly brought my deconstruct course, the crispy duck. When I asked what happened to the first course the waiter said " So what do you want me to do now?" I had the duck... More

The air conditioning made a good temperature in the very hot summer. At first we chose golden goose soup with matzo ball. It was very tasty. Then cholent (bean speciality) with smoked meat and eggs provided a fine harmony of flavors. I definitely recommend it. There are also other promising meals on the menu we need to try next time.

Ok the Chicken soup is rated best in the world by the NY Times, and their goose grevenes are to die for, but the thing that may make us return to Budapest is their roast duck. not to be missed.

We went to Fulemule for dinner as it came greatly recommended as THE place to taste jewish cooking. I woul suggest to skip the starter, it wasn't that exciting, the mangalitza sausage was nice, as was the hummus, but the goose cracklings were simply terrible, unedible greasy pieces with a weird texture. As a main, my husband had the hickory... More

We really enjoyed our meal! Hummus (needs more pita), brisket, paprika chicken, fried fish kids meal. My husband couldn't stop raving about the fried potatoes and the matzo soup was my highlight. It is a tad pricey and it would be nice if there were more wines by the glass to choose from.

Fülemüle offers traditional kosher cuisine for its clientele. These meals are of great taste and high standard. It is a small and family-run restaurant so probably this keeps up the quality. If you sit in you go back to the beginning of the 20th century because of the atmosphere and style of the food. I recommend fourths who are interested... More

We had a delightful, relaxed meal on a weekday evening. The restaurant was an easy walk from the Boscolo Hotel although Google Maps is recommended for online walking directions. We had an excellent chicken dish and also beef stew, with bottled water and white wine. The total bill was approximately $34 USD. Service was attentive and there are some interesting... More

We came here about 4 years ago and luckily found that this time it was only about 10 minutes walk from the Novotel Centrum Hotel. We both had exccellent hummus with pitta bread, followedd by a succulent chicken paprika and an acceptable bottler of Hungarian sauvignon blanc for a total price of 12,300 forints. The restaurant was tasteful and quiet... More
