Beautiful restaurant with a great staff. The food was traditional Hungarian ingredients with a modern twist which was amazing. For example we had foie gras made as a crème brulee and rolled in coco. The Mangalica Tenderloin and Cheek was fabulous. When you convert this meal into American $'s, what a bargain. The bill was $119 including wine. Don't forget... More

We had 4 days trips to budapest and Tigris was on our list as a restaurant (thanks to trip advisor contributers) We were staying in the center in Pest so this restaurant was very close to hotel. One afternoon we went there to make reservation for the same night. Athmosphere was very good and it was elegantly decorated. We had... More

Tigris is a well run restaurant with good service and friendly and knowledgeable staff. The food is competently prepared, fairly priced and tasty, although not as good as meals I had at other Budapest restaurants. My major complaint relates to the wine. The restaurant engaged in significant up selling. We were not given a wine list and when one was... More

I found that all the good things people have reviewed are true. What I can add is that we went with 7 friends as a last meal / early supper before flying back to the UK. We were a total pain with some ordering starters and dessert only, some starters and mains etc. there was no wine between us (regretfully... More

My wife and I spent two nights in Budapest; and our dinner at Tigris was the highlight. The waiter and wine master provided excellent recommendations and flexibility with dishes. We enjoyed a delicious bottle of Hungarian wine, in addition to appetizers and a mixed salad. I ate their signature dish - two types of Hungarian pork. Being a Pescatarian, my... More

I'm one of those annoying people who use Trip Advisor constantly but never write any reviews myself. The food and service in this restaurant were so good that I felt compelled to write a review. I couldn't fault them, this is a must go if you're ever in Budapest!

If you are in for a treat, this is the place. This restaurant fusions French and Hungarian cuisines. It´s classical and, at the same time, innovative. It´s romantic, classy and with an excellent selection of Hungarian wines. Just to say one of their specialties is foie gras, which is not my cup of tea, but I still have to admit... More

Cozy, cozy spot sporting great servers. Green pea and sprouts risotto set the right tone followed by a sampling of six assorted fois gras preparations including chocolate and crème brulee. Can you even imagine??? I also opted for perfect pairings of Hungarian wine.

Right around the corner from he Hotel Gresham, this is a superb restaurant. We had the wine pairing and drank some amazing Hungarian wines. The wait staff and sommelier were very friendly. I highly recommend it.
