I'm one of those annoying people who use Trip Advisor constantly but never write any reviews myself. The food and service in this restaurant were so good that I felt compelled to write a review. I couldn't fault them, this is a must go if you're ever in Budapest!

If you are in for a treat, this is the place. This restaurant fusions French and Hungarian cuisines. It´s classical and, at the same time, innovative. It´s romantic, classy and with an excellent selection of Hungarian wines. Just to say one of their specialties is foie gras, which is not my cup of tea, but I still have to admit... More

Cozy, cozy spot sporting great servers. Green pea and sprouts risotto set the right tone followed by a sampling of six assorted fois gras preparations including chocolate and crème brulee. Can you even imagine??? I also opted for perfect pairings of Hungarian wine.

Right around the corner from he Hotel Gresham, this is a superb restaurant. We had the wine pairing and drank some amazing Hungarian wines. The wait staff and sommelier were very friendly. I highly recommend it.

Wanted to post immediately about a really wonderful experience we had tonight at Tigris. This is our first trip to Budapest, and certainly won't be the last! We arranged, through the hotel concierge, a booking with a Sommelier attending to share his knowledge while we had our meal. Firstly, the service provided by Martin and his colleagues was outstanding! Recommendations... More

Amazing experience, and outstanding quality/price ratio as well. Service was super attentive. The most notable dish we tried was a very delicate saddle of rabbit with fruit compotes. We had a three course meal and portions were just right, we went out feeling satisfied but light at the same time. I liked especially their moderation in using salt and fats.... More

The dinner suggestions made by the maître de were excellent and the wine steward is very knowledgable and paired each course with excellent wine. The food was very good and really enjoyable! Our meals at Tigris were the best we had in Budapest. It was a short walk from our hotel, The Four Seasons, and had been recommended by our concierge. The wine was exceptional--who knew that Hungarian wines were so fine (these good ones don't make it to the state run liquor stores where I live in Ontario, Canada). The sommelier... More

We just had our first meal in Budapest at Tigris Restaurant. What a great experience. Our waiter, Martin, was extremely friendly and recommended several authentic, Hungarian dishes and suggested local wines with each course. The food was absolutely delicious and we tasted several wines new to us that we're amazing. Martin shared the history of the dishes and wines with... More

My wife and I stopped in by chance and without reservations. We were greeted warmly, offered a cozy table next to a window, and had superb service throughout the meal. We were offered Hungarian champagne to start; it was very good and very inexpensive. The manager stopped at our table to translate the menu and offer suggestions. My wife and... More
