Exceptional.

The four pate sampler was excellent. I had the beefo special which was good, though I prefer the goulash at Aszu. The trout also was also good. The chocolate desert cake was excellent. And who knew Hungarian wines were excellent? This was another great recommendation from the concierge at... read more

Great food, wine (one of the oldest restaurants, 2009-2015 Michelin Guide recommendation) and service with staff speaking fluent English and Russian (apparently some other languages as well). Foie Gras is absolutely delicious. Close to touristic routes although not as crowded as other restaurants; works days-evenings; was closed on one particular Sunday in July 2015 (don't know if always closed on... More

Fist class restaurant. Outstanding goose liver dishes. Exceptional wine list of Hungarian vintages(expensive).

We were asked to join a new acquaintance for dinner. We were very delighted that they chose this restaurant. We were please to see that the prices were actually not expensive as anticipated! The restaurant was very classy and the service was excellent. The presentation of our meal was lovely. The meal was tasty as was the wine. Would not... More

Visited for lunch and restaurant pretty empty, so atmosphere a little quiet. Service very attentive and friendly, if slightly over-bearing. The menu is a modern take on Hungarian dishes, with a focus on lightness and presentation. The wine cellar is excellent. I took the home smoked trout with bloody mary, followed by the goose liver with walnut sauce and baby... More

Recommended by my hotel concierge after I refused to go to any of the local tourist spots. Requested excellent food and to be surrounded by locals and I got both. Off a side street not far from St Stephens Basilica, the restaurant has a feel of an upscale bistro. Locals seem to be dressed up. More sport coats without ties... More

it was a very hyped restaurant for people who like fancy schmancy. It was a small place, great service but as is normal with this kind of place that lives on a Michelin reputation, big plate, small amount of (very tasty) food. I would never have chosen but I am glad I went, but not my type of place.

We wanted to go to a Hungarian restaurant and this was recommended by our hotel. The food was very good and nicely presented. It is quality not quantity. The food was reasonably priced. Wine was quite expensive but all Hungarian and very good.

Pity we were going to the concert that evening because we would have loved to relax over our excellent food. We shared a Foie Gras medley and then we had goose leg and a foie gras and beef dish. This was accompanied by one of those excellent bottles of Kreinbacker method champenoise. An a couple of glasses of excellent red.... More

We are regular visitor of Tigris. Excellent food, especially the traditional Hungarian ones (goose liver) in modern style. Outstanding Hungarian wine selection with some which is only available here. Highly recommended!
