Delicious Food, Cheap Prices!

Super cheap food that tastes amazingly authentic! It was so good we went back twice despite the walk from our hotel. On both our visits the restaurant was packed but the staff found us seats. They weren't the friendliest, but they gave you quick service and that was good enough for me for a busy... read more

Available on every pocket, the portions are huge ( not come out hungry), the service friendly (poor knowledge od the english language but people nice). Always... More

I wanted to go here because my guide told me that its a very good restaurant. Never again! They are very rude, I asked kindly to the waitress if they spoke english and she just said "no", then she walked away. I think that these kind of people should not work in a public place like a restaurant. A very... More

The food is very average for Hungarian standards, nothing special but they do not pretend to introduce you to the finest and healthiest Hungarian eating experience.Extremely popular with locals due to their relatively low prices in comparison to other restaurants in the vicinity and very well-established venue in a lovely ,middle-class neighbourhood. They have a few Jewish plates (macesz ball soup,(meat ball... This is one of my favourite place in Budapest at any time of the year. At summertime they have really cool outside boots Wintertime you can enjoy the proper 70's or 80's type of Hungarian "small restaurants" , they are called: kisvendéglő Look its important to know they are always busy. You are better call them before you just walk... More

This place was recommended by a Budapest local, and we loved it. We ordered two alcohol drinks, the beef goulash (which was amazing), a pork dish and a braised beef dish, only coming to 5600 forints (around 27 AUD). The waitress was very lovely and food came quickly. Good way to be introduced to Hungarian cuisine

The food is simply outstanding: very traditional, well executed and very cheap. This family restaurant has only one flaw: it's constantly packed with locals so it's likely you won't find a table at lunch time unless you make a reservation.
