Very good food, great desserts.

Nice ambient, lovely service and very good food! Desserts are fantastic! Mushroom soup in bread basket is also great. For the main we tried the Lectar platter for two. Sausages were great, the other things so so... For the dessert we also tried signature platter for two, and it was magnificent... read more

What a treat. First of all, the old town pedestrianized street in Radovljica is worth a visit in itself. We far preferred it to nearby Bled, which was disappointing. The restaurant is charming, down-to-earth, and a lovely dining experience in every way. We were visiting friends who are locals in a town near here and they took us out to... More

Even though it is quiet a big restaurant, you will feel comfortable there, since they have different rooms where they host/serve the guests. Traditional food is really tasty and prepared the old home made way. Try the peasants feast.. if you are a meat lover. And visit also the living ginger bread museum in the cellar. Very interesting. :)

Yes, I know tour groups frequent this restaurant. But when I ate here, the food was surprisingly good, especially the mushroom soup served in a little hard roll and a delicious dessert - a fresh green apple stuffed with apple gelato (with the little green cap of the apple sitting on the gelato) with the whole thing sitting on a... Great food in this nice & authentic Slovenian restaurant. Mushroom or pumpkin soup is a must! We took some local dishes: stew, goulash, blood sausage etc and everything was rather taste. They have great choice of side dishes e.g. Matevz is incredible tasty.

Nice old house, old fashion interior and pleasent waiters. I had just a lokal speciality sweet- Linhartov cukr (Linharts sugar - he was a writer). Nice looking but not so special - apples, cream... And quite expesive, almost 5 eur piece

Lectars main business seems to be bus trips. People pour in are taken down to the gingerbread workshop and sold gingerbread hearts. Then they are fed by staff in traditional costume. Then usually serenaded with accordion and guitar music. Food can vary. There is better. Whatever floats your boat!

We were taken to this restaurant by our guide as a special treat. We visited the gingerbread workshop downstairs which has been functioning since 1822 and bought some hearts. As we came for dinner, we could not participate in the decorating of these wonderful shapes, but it was interesting to have the process explained to us. We had a brilliant... More

Oct 3 Our time at the Lectar Inn was in their dining room. Before our lunch each of us had to hand decorate a small, red-glazed gingerbread heart, or "liebkuchen." There was an instructor who helped us with the wide selection of colored icing pens and preformed stick-on decorations. We all had fun customizing our gingerbread hearts. While the icing... More

After traveling through five different and unique countries with Grand Circle Tours, we had our farewell dinner at this absolutely wonderful restaurant. We started off with a gingerbread decorating demonstration and then sat down to an incredible meal: scrumptious mushroom soup served in a delightful bread bowl, a fresh salad, delicious sausage, beef, sauerkraut, pickled turnip, and wonderfully seasoned potatoes,...
