This restaurant was located on a 10 minute walk from our apartment and based on the good reviews, we decided to check it out. We were not disappointed! In fact, it's the best food we had during our holiday in Croatia and Slovenia. The location itself was good, off the beaten track, nice and quiet. The only minor point was... More

I found this in my Rough Guide, where it got an unusually warm write-up. It was a little off the beaten track but - boy! - was it worth the walk. The truffle gnocchi were to die for, the chocolate mousse pudding was astonishing and my only complaint about the pork with figs was that the portion was slightly too... More

I was at this restaurant last year for dinner. I had a steak with cranberry sause and potatoes. I also ordered their housewine merlot. Food and wine were very good. I also liked the ambient (everything is so colorfull). I will go there for lunch or dinner again soon.

In a quiet neighborhood south of Old Town, this is a great place to have lunch on the way to or from Plecnik House (which was closed unfortunately when we visited). We enjoyed high quality Slovenian food - the three-course lunch menu set at 8 Euros was great value. Service a bit on the slow side but the server was... More

An out of the way restaurant, but still only 15 minutes stroll from the centre. The place was empty on arrival, but it was out of season (it got to the point of three others being in there too). The meal began with a chicken pate amuse bouche, which was okay. The starters were a vegetable soup and buckwheat with... More

Situated in a quiet part of town, I would recommend it for people looking for personalised service in a casual environment. The food was nice and fresh and the staff was very friendly, though the service was a bit slow. I also found it a bit awkward trying to cut my steak in the soup bowl it was served.

As a group of 6 Australians staying in an apartment nearby we were happy to find this small, cosy restaurant. We were served by Natasa who was happy to read us the complete menu in English as there was no way that we could even guess what was on offer. We enjoyed the Slovenian food so much that we ate... We came upon this restaurant by chance one evening as it was close to our accommodation. We ate here every night. Delicious Slovenian food and plenty of it, the waitress (Natasa) was very friendly and read the whole menu to us in English. A great restaurant. Good value.

Don't be put off by were this place is it's about 10 mins walk from the town centre and down a side street, it looks a bit pub-like from the outside and a little plain inside, but what food, this was good , plates hot as well, and this is what I always look for, the 6 of us had... More

Our friends took us to this off the beaten path tiny restaurant on a side street off the waterway in Ljubljana. it felt like just being in someones home for a delicious home cooked meal. The waiter asks which soup you would like, they bring you a little tiny appetizer and they ask which first and 2nd plate you would... More
