Great food & service

Our first night in Ljubljana (May Day), and this was our choice. It turned out to be a very good choice. My husband had roast lamb and rosemary potatoes and it was cooked to perfection - and so much. My gnocchi with shrimp was equally good (and large). Best of all was the service - friendly... read more

The restaurant offers very good food and has a friendly staff. Also, the location is perfect, as it is in front of the Castle Fenicular and next to the central Market and Cathedral. Best to visit on a warm sunny day in lunch or brunch time, when you can eat al fresco and enjoy the vivid market crowds just across... More

If you want to eat traditional Slovene food made in traditional way and served properly, this is the place to visit. I tried deer stake with mashed potatoes with truffles, wild garlic and forest honey and it was awesome. Staff is friendly and speaks many languages. The place has a nice terrace that can cover in case of sun/rain. Try... More

I was there with my husband for dinner. I ordered the 'special offer' of asparagus soup (as it was a seasonal item) and risotto with shrimp and truffles. My husband ordered the pork schitzel and strukli as a side dish. My soup came in a big bread bowl, not specified in the menu, and it was very obviously microwaved and... More

We dropped by twice during our stay in Ljubljana. First for beer, later for lunch. The tables outside were nice enough for people watching and chilling while having a beer. The location close to castle is very good. At lunch time the place was very busy but we didn't mind that. It didn't take too long to get our food.... More

8 of us dropped into this restaurant for a Slovenian dinner. The server was very helpful and each dish was worthy of a foodie pic. Asparagus is in season which I ordered with shrimp risotto. It was delicious! My friend loved the asparagus soup in a bread bowl. The meal was so much fun but it also had to do... More

We were served by Roby, who was friendly, helpful and a skilled filleter of fish. Himself enjoyed gnocchi with asparagus and prawns, whilst I went for mushroom soup served in a round wholemeal mini-loaf. We shared a whole sea bream - expensive but tasty, and filleted at the table. The bill was delivered with a shot of slivovitz brandy which... More

Had a local sausage with pasta for a starter and a filet as main dish. The starter was very fine but the portion was too big, the filet was too tough for my taste and very medium. Service was friendly but reserved, prices were reasonable.

A restaurant in the old part of the town. A little strange in architecture, but all over ok. The food a little disappointing. The service, nice and friendly. Price, ok.
