The food is OK - go for the classic traditional stuff and you will get a decent meal - stay away from more fancy things though (e.g. truffels) as the kitchen is simply not on that quality level. But, in that part of Ljubljana, just to have a quick meal - completely acceptable. However, restaurants are not only about the... More

A nice selection of traditional Slovenian dishes and drinks. Lots of native Slovenians here so you know its good. Try the wines.

Vodnikov harm is under the castle and next to puppet theater so if you have lunch at noon, there is a clock tower that Martin Krpan (slovenian legend) comes out and it was a bonus to watch that and eat great value slovenian lunch. Staff was great, as well.

This restaurant came highly recommended by a local for their Slovenian dishes. After dining there, I can agree wholeheartedly. They had many choices of native Slovenian foods and the waiters were able to explain and recommend the different choices. The food was reasonably priced for that part of the city, (and the feet of the castle) and the portions were... More

This is a perfect choice to have a nice lunch/dinner near the castle. The dishes are large and delicious, the stuff is friendly and helpful. I recommend this place, because its worth it regarding quality and prices!

Octopus salad was nice and light for a little appetite. The mixed grill dish was very good and filling. A mix of locals and tourists/travelers, located very close to the castle and funicular so there are periodic groups of tourists congregating in the area. A good place to eat, not inexpensive, but average for this type of restaurant.

We came around 18.00 hours at this restaurant and sat on the terrace. We ordered a foal filet with patato croquettes and a meat mixed grill. Both the Plates with meat where excellent but the patato croquettes where stone cold. All in all we left at 19.15 and had a good meal.

I just need to say thanks a lot for everything. I went with my fiance for a dinner. The atmosfere was nice and romantic. Not so crowdy but beautiful. The waiter leaded from first step to the end. Everything he suggest it was exelent, from starter, vine, main dish, for the desert there was no more place. Congrats to all staff. Thank you small... More

Weill where to Start ? Wine ? Ok, then you should now The red is served chilled. Bad. First course : The Slovenian salad. A salad With no dressing (aside from the fact That home oil aside had no taste). Gnocchis almost rare, shrimp rare. Worse. Other pasta dish was overcooked... ham bad quality... just awful. Do Not go there.
