Good Polish dishes in Warsaw's Old Town

Nice place on one of the many quiet walking streets of Warsaw's charmingly reconstructed Old Town. We enjoyed their schnitzel (called 'pork chop'), cabbage pierogi and duck. Reasonable house wine by the carafe. Good, friendly service;

Having walked around for a while trying to decide where to eat, I settled on this restaurant. The service was very good, but that's where the good ends. My pierogies were served in a ton of water which made for a less than enjoyable experience, not to mention they lacked any real taste to them. I had some soup that... More

We had been strolling through the old city when it started to rain. My daughter was hungry, and I was cold (yea, polish summer, and it's unpredictable weather changes ...), so we stopped at the random restaurant. When we walked in we were struck by unpleasant, greasy odors with a slop's nuance. If it didn't rain, we would walk away... More

This was a welcome respite in the midst of a tour of the old city ; we had wonderful soup and some good pierogi and herring. The service was pretty good and the food was quite tastY. Highly recommended to anyone who is visiting the old city and wants to just get a little bite to eat outside of the... More

I was looking for a traditional polish food restaurant close to the old town and I thought this would be a good choice. I was so mistaken! The tradicional food inside of bread (Zulek) was not that bad, but then I ordered the roast beef that was really bad and didn't taste as the normal traditional plate! Service was very... More

I was walking all the day, and I wanted a quite place to rest and have nice food, and this was the right one! Place is nice, waiters are kind and good price for good food. I had a zurek, typical Polish soup. it was good and well presented.

Thought it looked pretty nice at first. Waiter messed up our orders. The beetroot soup I had was pretty much just red water with tasteless dumplings, very unappetizing! Worst borscht I can even imagine. The soup served in bread bowls was cool but also kind of flavorless. Would never recommend this place. 15PLN for a bottle of water too! It... More

Thought this restaurant could be nice as seen so many tourists sitting there for foods and drinks. After we sit down order the foods from there menu, we were waiting for more than 45 minutes without any sign of our foods will serve. As seeing the people whom arrives after us and order after us all been severed. We call... More

We stopped at this place for a quick beer yet it turned out to be a lovely place. We ordered the herring dish for 2 from the appetizers. It turned out to be perfect...very generous pieces of herring served with cream, onions, nuts & tomatoes. It was very simple yet really tasty. The service is real good as well.
