On the way to Lublin

We found this restaurant on the way from WAW airport to Lublin. It has an atmosphere trying to recall Lisbon but the menu gives mainly Polish dishes. What has positively impressed is the quick service and the very good quality/price ratio. It was a good choice specially for the reason of our stop.

This time we decided to have lunch with friends celebrating the upcoming Easter. This time the service was a little bit better but we waited for our dishes over half an hour. The best choice was naco na pedra - a piece of beef on a very hot stone with French fries and three sauces. We also tried two cods:... More

We got there on the early side, about 5:30, and there was nobody there. However around 6:00 the restaurant filled up, so if you come later you may want a reservation. They have a nice wine list, and the food was great. I had a steak and my husband had fish. The steak was brought on a hot stone, and... More

At lunchtime the service was slow, although most of the time we were alone in the restaurant. We ordered two lunch menus (including grilled salmon and cod with sour cream) and two portions of clams in tomato sauce. Two starters from the lunch menu (25 zloty) were served pretty quickly and both portions of clams (44 zloty) again after a... More

Restaurant and wine store in one - the store and a few table on the upper floor and regular restaurant on the ground floor. Good, traditional Portuguese food, resonable rates. Service could be better.

There was a special promotion of some dishes and we decided to go. Everything went wrong... The day before we made a reservation at 15h and when we arrive we had to be 35 minutes waitting for our table. We order for a soup of seafood that was really really salty. The second dish i order for a beef sirloin... More

If you want to taste the typical portucal meals, you must visit Prtucale restaurant. It is in the centre of Warsaw, near the Warszawianka. The most delicious is tuna on the hot stone and other dishes of fishes. In the same places is a wine shop in which you can buy a lot of portucal wines, which you try in... More

Everything in Portucale is becoming worse and worse: the food (especially lunch) and the service. The lunch portion of mussels was small and the mussels themselves were small. As for the service, when you finish nobody bothers to take away your empty plates, nobody asks if you would like to have a cup of coffee or anything else. All in... More

If you like fish, or more generally, if you like good food, you should try "Portucale". Actually, the place consists of two parts: a restaurant and a wine bar. I know the restaurant and I can sincerely recommend it. There is one disadvantage: the place is quite distant from the usual tourist routes in Warsaw, in the Mokotow district, close... More

I recommend Portucale for lunch. The best choice would be cataplana de bacalhau, traditionally prepared in a special pot. Another Portucale specialty is a whole grilled octopus, probably the best in town. The service....... well, slow as always, so be ready to pay at the desk to avoid waiting for the waiter.
