Hot soup in a hollowed-out loaf of onion bread followed by delicious pierogi. Delicious. Not expensive considering the location. Service a little slow but why rush .... Lots of other great dishes on the menu so will be back next trip to try more.

We got there accidentally. Came in and saw a nice looking cake, so we decided to take a seat. The place is located in the main old square so I though it will be for tourists and overpriced, but there were a surprise! Very tasty pasta Carbonara and great dumplings! The desert was simply the best we've tried in Warsaw!... More

We've eaten here both inside and outside, lunch and dinner, and outside is definitely better. It is a great place to people watch as it is located on the main drag to the Old Town. I want to highlight one dish: The Polish steak tartare. It is better than any other version of this dish with much more garnishings. When... More

We ate inside, away from the charm of the square. The room was attractive, with nice table settings and linens. Service was very slow, and the staff did not seem particularly interested in their job. The food was mostly fair. The potato pancakes were quite greasy, the lamb portion was small and the fish was pretty bland, although the potatoes... More

Really liked this tourist restaurant cafe on the edge of the square at the entrance to the old town.........chose it at random on the first day and went back for lunch and an evening coffee the next three days. Very good service, fresh salads, and super dumplings.......lots of choice and interesting mixes in the salads. ( spinach, with raspberries, and... More

Stopped here for an hour of people watching and ice-cream eating - it was the colourful tablecloths, lovely flowers and general prettiness of the place that attracted us. We were served politely by a young man who understood our English and appreciated our attempts at Polish. Ice-creams, in comparison with other Warsaw eating experiences quite pricey, but this was a... More

This place has been one of my favourite places for many years. Unfortunately, after the last visit it is not any more the place I would like to visit again. My last visit at Literatka in June was a big sad dissapointment- they cheated me and my boyfriend on drinks by overcharging us and explaining it was all ok and... More

Lousy waitresses, bad english, no service, no smile, waiting 45 minutes on our food, did not get it all at the same time, small portions, just ok food, beggers begging at our table, grumpy waitresses talking together. Not a pleasant experience...

This is wonderful place to while away an hour or two, the coffee was good and food was cheap and tasty. A lovely atmosphere, we liked it so much we kept returning.

It is a very well situated restaurant, yet the prices are quite reasonable. I waited a very long time for a portion of meat dumplings (pierogi) but it might be due to the two larger parties that were being served at the time, however nobody informed how long the wait would be or assured me in the meantime. Anyway, the... More
