Went there twice on my recent trip to Poznan. Both times with different types of food being chosen, the meals were very good. As others have said, if you go at peak times you will probably have to wait for a table, we only had to wait 10 mins on our first visit. The menu is not extensive and focuses... More

Cute, rustic cabin feel with great food and service. We had drinks, tomato cream soup with noodles, a large variety of the boiled dumpings with the fried onion sauce and the fried cabbage. Our waitress was so sweet and accommodated us with English menu's! Would definitely go back!

You need to wait for a bit (to get in and, with your order), but than you get great food in this cosy place. A lot of options for savory and sweet dumplings. Specaily the 'calzone-like' dumplings are awesome.

This restaurant is specialized in pierogi, although other dishes are also available. There are several types of pierogi to choose, and pierogi can be either boiled or baked in the oven. We opted for baked pierogi, and we found them original and very good. It is also possible to order a mix of pierogis, so one can taste different flavours... More

A Poznań local suggested we try this place and she wasn't wrong. We had a fantastic meal for 5 people for 150zl including a generous tip. The restaurant is divided up among various split levels so while there are lots of tables, you're not crowded. We arrived at 8:30pm and it was very busy so we had to wait about... More

I went to this restaurant twice while I was in Poznan and was very happy with both meals. I highly recommend pierogi in the oven and roasted potatoes with meat (unfortunately, I don't remember the name of this last dish). The pancakes for desert are also excellent. Both meals cost less than 5 euro.

Very friendly atmosphere and excellent food. The baked dumplings are excellent a bit like a miniature Cornish pastie. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone

We had a lunch there and opted for oven baked dumplings which were really good. I would say the restaurant proposes traditional dishes in a revisited way. An interesting experience combined with very good service and short waiting time. I recommend.

6 of us were looking for somewhere to eat and, luckily, stumbled on the Chatka Babuni accidentally, which saved us a lot more walking! The place was very busy and we had to wait a (very) short while till a table for 6 was found upstairs and we were guided around the options (for Pierogis - dumplings, boiled or baked).... More

Very nice ambiance, good choice of various traditional Slavic (Polish, Russian, Ukrainian) dishes, amazingly delicious pierogis although service could be faster/friendlier. The place is very popular among locals & tourists, so be prepared for a long wait unless you book a table in advance.
