Prior to touring the impressive Basilica in Gniezno, we had lunch in the restaurant at the Pietrak Hotel. The surroundings are beautiful and the service was excellent, as was the food. I had a Greek salad, which was superb, along with a couple of glasses of Tyskie. One of my colleagues also had a salad and a couple of beers... More

Food is always excellent in this old hotel. We've never stayed in the hotel because there is no parking but we've eaten in the hotel restaurant several times in the last 10 years. It is still very good.

As the restaurant is very popular and often a bit crowded, it is worth booking a table in advance. It serves reasonably good food (there is a choice of soups, meats, some fish, stews etc), but the desserts, although good-looking, are usually awful. Service is OK, interior average, sometimes there is live music (piano player). It is not expensive -... More

There was a fountain and a little bridge which made a good atmosphere. But tables and chairs seems to be worn-out - like in a second-rate bar. Food was ok.

It's the restaurant of a hotel, plus it's right in the center of the main pedestrian/tourist street, so I thought it would be quite expensive. Dishes here turned out to be inexpensive, especially the lunch sets. The chlodnik (a cold soup made from young beets) was a bit too sweet for my liking. Service was attentive.

Beside the really horrible music choice that they have at the restaurant,,, we really enjoyed our meal here. Since it is a small city, the price was reasonably cheap and the food was very good. Before we went in we thought it would be really too fancy and expensive but it wasn't at all! We got a soup and pierogi.... More
