Nice place, nice music, not nice cat. They have a cat walking arround the restaurant and sometimes scares you touching your legs. The food is typical jewish but we know other Jewish restaurants and here is nothing special, i'm not saying bad, but is in the average.

Have been planning this outing for sometime. Food was mediocre and wine overpriced. Service very pleasant but will not be returning as it is a rip-off for the quality of food on offer.

Thank you for making our shabbos dinner and lunch a special occasion. It felt like we were at our grandparents' house for dinner. Restaurant is decorated with Jewish artefacts and art. The food was delicious - chicken soup with kreplach, chicken livers and noodle kugel. The service was excellent and we will always remember the great hospitality.

This restaurant is in the middle of Lublin, with a dehor on the square that is very nice. It's a Jewish restaurant that follows the rules even if it has not the certification (it is written on the menu). Waitress are dressed with typical clothes and we had the chance to have live music. We tasted a typical Cholet (that... More

Traditional Jewish restaurant in the Old Quarter of Lublin. The food was great! Try the Latke appetizer for 30 zlotys (potato pancakes covered in sour cream and raw onions). The atmosphere was nice, albeit a bit cramped. The waitresses spoke English. The wine was Israeli and was very good. The only negative was the kitsch music- the Fiddler on the... More

very atmospheric restaurant, best days to dine may be Fri or Sat when more dishes are available. I went for the potato pancakes (with sour cream and raw(!) onions), which I wouldn't really recommend. But the waitress was v. friendly

We felt directly welcomed when we entered the door. We had booked place in advance and maybe that was good. The food was delicious and generous and we enjoyed the place very much. You could sense that this place took responsibility for the Jewish Cuisine!

Mandragora is a charming place. It refers to ‘old’ Lublin and the history of Jewish people who lived there before II world war. Menu introduces Jewish cuisine and a bit of family history. The food is prepared according to Jewish dietary laws, Sabbath laws, holiday rituals as well as local cooking customs and it definitely isn’t an ordinary menu. Nice... More

I had the pleasure of having dinner at Mandragora twice during my visit to Lublin and was so very pleased both times. Unlike some of Poland's "Jewish" restaurants, this one is the real deal. Traditional dishes prepared traditionally! Great menu! Great service! Great ambience! I thoroughly enjoyed everything I had, especially the soups and the duck. The duck? Heavenly....

The place looks fantastic and the great referral to the Jewish past in Lublin before the war. But the food was a disappointment although I admit that I have no knowledge of Jewish food traditions but the place is referring the menu to this tradition. The food did not taste of any spices and the portions of some off the... More
