Nice experience

Mandragora has a mission. They want you to have a chance to immerse yourself for a brief while in the pre-WW2 Jewish Lublin. And everything (ok, almost everything - they occasionally play Gotan Project as ambience music) there is designed with that thought in mind. The interior is neatly decorated... read more

Mandragora has a mission. They want you to have a chance to immerse yourself for a brief while in the pre-WW2 Jewish Lublin. And everything (ok, almost everything - they occasionally play Gotan Project as ambience music) there is designed with that thought in mind. The interior is neatly decorated to resemble an interior of a rich, pre-war Jewish house.... More

I went here with three colleagues, one of who had prospected and found this to be the most appealing place in the vicinity--the very heart of Lublin's old town. Our waiter was extremely attentive and accommodating. Some of the food was truly delicious: I think it's best to follow their own recommendations in an extensive menu (dishes marked "a taste... When you're there, take duck for dinner. Delicious! The decor of the interior, and the presentation of all meals is also very nice.

It's located at the very center of Lublin's main market square, so you can't miss it. Bearing the weight of the history of the city's once thriving Jewish community, the square's corner tenement house invites you to a truly Jewish spot. The music, atmoshpere, surrounding, trinkets and oddments - put together they form a time capsule with great food inside.... More

As in the title, it was my debut with Jewish food and to be honest - I've choose the start-place accidentaly. I was going for a brief trip to Lublin and before it I've looked at the nice places to eat. Mandragora was one the top of the list and intrigued me because of the Jewish cuisine. And because Lublin... More

I have no knowledge regarding Jewish food, so can't vouch for the authenticity, however the starter (liver with wild mushrooms marinated in wine and honey) was absolutely superb. For the main course I had the garlic pierogi, which was also delicious, although rather standard in terms of pierogi. The total bill came to just under 60 zloty (which also included... More

I tried this restaurant for lunch. I had the garlic soup an entree and some kvass. It was good but there were other items on the menu that weren't available that day. There online menu is different from when I was there. Food was good. I'd go back and try some other dishes. Prices are average.

Bingo We were in Lublin practically the first time. Wife really, and I after more than 50 years. That is all unknown. Old Town rising from oblivion, every day more and more beautiful. We were looking for a late lunch matched to a nice mood. I hit a Madragorę. Inherent quietly in one corner of the Market, which overlooks the... More
