Mandragora Fried chicken liver with button mushroom s in wine and honey Chicken stock with kreplach Very warm friendly service Fast service and yet enough time to digest between courses Supplied me with informative brochure on the city And eased into jewish cultural information also available. Thus far a great humble experience. *perhaps seating proximities are more intimate than expected... More

This place is impressive. They cook according to old jewish traditions and rules (which I'm not familiar with, but I asked a lot, and they shared a lot of informatikn and stories). the place as split in two, and in one section they have small concerts and performance from local artists. What a great atmosphere! Book table - this place... More

I don't rate it with 5 stars (yet) because I should eat a wider variety of more ellaborated dishes but it was really really nice. Great service, super comfortable enviroment and of course, the food very tasty. I will come back and I hope I'll increase one star more.

We were welcomed by the waitress who was very helpfull offering the best table and attending us whenever we just looked in... More

If you want to taste XIX atmosphere this is the place to come to eat. The food is tasty, the service fantastic and very friendly. All the food home made. The best restaurant I have been to.

My partner and I went to this restaurant to try another cuisine but from receiving the drinks the experience turned bad. I ordered the drink called fruit stewed and ask the waiter what was this drink. I was told that it is homemade from fruit? and was given a disgusting drink really thick with a back taste of clove. So... More

Appetizer: Lin in cream sauce (fish), Jewish caviar Main: roast duck, carp in za tar ... No room for desert. The food was excellent in all ways as was the service. The decor is historical and gives it that homey feel. Loved it.
