Polish version of German Beer Hall

We came on Sunday evening to try their locally brewed beer, tried the wheat one and liked it a lot. Also had a popular in Poland shot 'maddogs', nobody wanted to serve us at the table so had to order at the bar, but it wasn't busy and bar service was quick and friendly. Reminded me a lot of beer... read more

We came to ''Spiz'' not for eating ( although there were very original dishes), but for tasting all sorts of bear. Nice price - 10 zl for 0.5, cheaper than a similar style of pub in Krakow. 6 or 8 sorts of bear includes very interesting caramel and apple tastes. But for me the special was ''dark''. The location is... More

Perfectly positioned in the centre of old town, beer brewed inside (real brewpub) but worth a visit for food also we ate there twice. but originally went for the beer. All good, tried a few different types.

I must specify that I did not try th food but only the beer. Fantastic place for a beer party with friends, always full of people, there are even some tables with personal beer taps. The prices are low considering that you are in one of the most famous places in Poland.

The atmosphere is very elegant and the service quite attentive. The food is amazing and with very generous portions. It is very old world and the decorations are historical. I could eat here every day!

The Spiz is centrally located in the old town of WRO. Good beer and food. Try the stroganov, it is one of the best I had.

Underground beer hall, slap bang in the middle of the city centre. We went there predominantly for the beer, but it's a restaurant too. They brew their own ales there and had 5 on when we visited. You can get a taster tray of 5 x 125ml which is a great way of trying them all without accidentally getting a... More

enjoyed the beer and the atmosphere, great to see micro brewery right on the main square. It was never too noisy but just lively enough. Lager and dark beer were good, both a had sweetish finish which suited me fine. At 9 or 10 zloty it is not that cheap but doesn't break the bank either.

Large cellar bar with food. Has it's own brewery. We tried the beer sampler tray first with 5 beers, all different and all good. I liked the Wiesbeer best. We were offered bread to go with the drinks and got cold bread with lard and meat bits. Apparently a drinkers delight. Wasn't the highlight of our stay, but still a... More
