1st night out and not a disappointment

We spent a while wandering around the Rynek checking out a few menu and Pod Fredra really caught our eye. The food was wonderful with a huge range of local cuisine and plenty to suit all. The Steak Tartar was amazing as was the Pork Schnitzel. Just next door is the Hotel Spiz bar with great tasting... read more

Whenever we visit Wroclaw we try to avoid the more "touristy" areas. However on our last visit we were passing Pod Fredra and thought the menu at looked fine so we took a chance - it turned out to be a very good decision! The location is ideal and we found the food to be fresh and delicious without being... More

Had dinner with a large group in Fredra to taste some traditional polish food, starting with Zurek soup in bread, then a variety of meat and fish with side dishes (potato, salad, etc). Service was fast enough considering the large amount of people, place is nice.

Solo dinner last night and decided to go for some polish grilled meats. Started with a beer and some Lithuanian sausage, sliced very thin. The sausage was very nice and the outdoor location was very cold. I think the weather has caught Wroclaw off guard. There were blankets but no heaters. I decided to go for the smoked ribs with... The food was OK. Small portions, but tasty. The water costed 30 zl!!!! A total ripoff. I live in this city and I've never been ripped off so hard.

Located next to the Ratusz, the restaurant has ample outdoor seating and a menu comprised of typical Polish food. It's very filling but quite tasty. I ordered the meat perogies and they were a little dry for my taste. However, the cucumber salad (in vinegar) was very good and "wetted" the perogies as I ate them. My dining companions enjoyed... If you want to go for some Polish food, that's a bit more upmarket while in Wroclaw, then this is your place. We had duck with cranberry and apple and potato dumplings. Reasonable portions, reasonable price for the market sq (everything is more expensive in the center). Staff were helpful with suggestions, and I recommend trying the local medium sweet... More

We had 2 main(!) courses - salmon and grilled pork. They had nothing extra like potatoes or something. Never in my life have I seen such small(!) portions. Just a small piece of salmon and nothing else; nothing. They costed about 40 PLN each. Went away hungry and dissapointed. Waiters are not helpful at all, ignorant.

It is nice restaurand with nice selection of foods, but quite expensive. Maybe not for bussiness mans who mostly are there, but certainly for some one who want to save some money. Taste of food was very good, but rations was quite small. I ordered something like fries, but I get maybe ten pieces o it. So really not enough.... More
