This restaurant is located in the center of the main square and main tourist attraction of Wroclaw. Looks very interesting and welcoming from outside however when you decide to eat there it is a big disapointment. Very bad quality of food and service. You can find some negative reviews of this restaurant on other travel directories. I think this shall be presented here as a warning for all foreign tourists to avoid this place. Great location and good outlook seems to be a trap which can destroy your holidays in such beautiful place as Wroclaw.

Stunning location. Strange lighting and you don't always get what you ordered!

Beautiful location underneath the town hall but a little for boding and bordering on weird. Gothic furniture and continually changing colours on the lighting added to the strange dining experience. Huge vaulted rooms and caves but most in darkness and a trip to the loo was scary. Surprisingly... read more

... but for me not a trap. It was an interesting place to visit for the deco and the home made beer. Dishes was nice , time to be served a bit long. we were there a tuesday evening and 25% of the restaurant was booked. I didn't taste wine as there is no wine in poland so wine is... More

Top location in the heart of the city of Wroclaw. Ambient like in the castle, but very cold. One of the oldest restaurant in Europe, furniture like in the museum. But most important, food was average, nothing to remember. Perhaps no luck with menu choice. Price fair.

This is a historic place that I wouldn't want to miss. I got a beer for 12 Zloty, which is about 50% more than in most other places, but obviously I came in expecting higher prices. The beer was good, service very polite and - most importantly - the setting was amazing. I think it feels a bit like a... More

We did like our visit here, the food was good quality and value, the location is interesting. Considering that it carries the label of The Oldest Restaurant in Europe, and it is about as central as you can get, it has somehow not quite grasped how good it could be! Still worth a visit though.

Went in for a late lunch and could not fault the place. Food was presented with care, cooked to perfection and tasted gorgeous. The service was good, friendly and quick. We tried the local beer which was also very good. Maybe a little touristy for some but I liked it and others like it throughout Europe. The decor was old... More

Yes it is touristy but it is potentially the oldest restaurant in Europe. I thought the beer was good and food was tasty. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Was a bit expensive and didn't have our first choice of food on the menu, but overall very good.

We were a group of 12 tourists reading the outdoor menu board and the selection of pierogys was exactly what we all desired. We walked in and were sitted in a back room and given menus. The place was empty for a Friday early evening. We made our intentions clear to the waiter that we all desired pierogys and he... More
