Good place!

Really cosy atmosphere, bit out of the beaten path, but we found it easily. It was really busy during our visit. The food was served quckly and we all enjoyed it. Bit expensive for the portions of the dumplings (pierogis), 22 PLN but they were tasty. This restaurant was revolutionised by Polish... read more

We have visited this restaurant a number of times over the years and have never been disappointed. On 26/01/2016 we were. The best comment was average. The worst of the food was the gravelly, grainy, greasy, luke warm soup and the dry, overcooked, poorly presented trout-should have sent it back.To say this is the 11th best eatery in Zakopne does little credit to the evaluation process.

An old establishment that recently went through a much-needed revamp by Polish food celeb Magda Gessler. You can find several Polish classics on the menu and quality as well as service is great. The pork knuckle is in particular tasty and tender. Great for both lunch and dinner, however, reservations strongly recommended.

Cosy atmosphere and the best zurek soup in town, visiting every time when being in zakopane. Worth to try!

Really lovely old, authentic restaurant with good food and service. Not as crowded as the main areas.

This is an absolutely wonderful restaurant serving traditional "highlands" cuisine from Poland. The decor is fabulous and the food even better. My wife had the mushroom soup followed by the pancakes filled with spinach and baked with cheese on top. She gave the meal an A+. I had the borscht with dumplings (very good although a little thin on the... More

If you want to enjoy authentic Zakopane food in a family run restaurant that's been around for decades this is the place to go. It's a bit of the beaten path which makes the location all the better - not too noisy or over crowded; reservations recommended in high season. Keep in mind that this is family run and not... More

We ate at Obrochtowka last night- sitting outside in the pleasant garden space as inside was full (and hence I would suggest booking a table ahead of time). The waiter was helpful, menu in Polish, English, Russian and German- together with a gentle warning that there may be a wait at very busy times. The food is worth waiting for... More

Nice place, great decoration, pillows and leathers around, which make this place very cozy. Staff is ok,but not asking you if you enjoy the meal. Food is served very quick, we ordered starters and after few spoon of soup ( " zurek" very tasty) the meal arrived and was cold when we started eating. "Golonka" was so hard I couldn't... More

This is a typical Zakopane timber house converted into a restaurant. The dining room is downstairs with heavy folk art decor. Service was excellent and my lamb stew super juicy. Not the usual tourist trap. Three cheers!
