Good food, slow service

The food was so so good - it came out quickly after ordering. The portions were great and the flavours very tasty. And the prices were super reasonable. However, the service was very slow and it took us literally 35 minutes to make eye contact with anyone. Other tables were served - and there... read more

descend in the cellars of Chimera and enjoy the atmosphere of the candlelit space. The food and the service is good and you'll find all the famous polish dishes in average prices. But what is the most memorable from the this restaurant is the medieval feeling , without being very touristic.

Chimera has both an excellent sit-down menu as well as an amazing lunch bar. The lunch bar has lots of specials, as well as entrees, fruits, salads, desserts, etc. Would definitely go back.

I advise you to go down to the down part of restaurant. In comparison with upper floor you will feel difference. There is no hassles there.Delicious soup in goulash style, heady desserts and cognitive place.

Two days ago we decided to eat here. The rewtaurant looks good and cozy. But the staff says almost nothing en the giek that served us was unfriendly. I think she does nog speak english. There was also à lot of sand in our mushroom soup.

Chimera is an restaurant in an Polish-old style where we have eat some typical polish dishes served on plates and on tables in an surroundings that could be really looking polish as well, with drakes and some art of the middle-eave Poland. Altough they had only one vegatarian plate with a variety of things, i would’not say that you get... More

The queue was a little chaotic, but it sorted itself out, and when it did the choice was worth the wait. Well labelled in both English and Polish the staff were happy to explain what was in any if the choices, and all seemed excellent. Help yourself to baked potatoes from the fire and you'll have a hearty, healthy meal.

I ate here for lunch twice on my most recent visit to Krakow. Tucked away in a street off the southern end of the Stary Rynek, it offers a main item + 6 salads accompaniments for PLN 17 (about £3) - duży zestaw - or for PLN 13 just 4 salad items. I had flan the first time and Gołąbki... More

Read great views about this place on trip advisor and decided to go there on our first night in Kraków as was craving salad after so much fried Christmas market food. And Chimera did not disappoint. You can choose a 'small 'plate for 11 zloty (3euro) which is actually a big portion, and you can choose 4 different types of... More

Mixed restaurant, but with good selection for vegetarians. Worth asking what exactly do salads contain, especially if you are vegan. Pleasant atmosphere, moderate prices, and during evenings romantic guitar playing. Worth a visit.
