I went to this restaurant by myself, as I had to spend a weekend Krakow during a business trip. Was walking around city center and searched for restaurants nearby for a late lunch, and this one came up. They have just a few courses in the menu, which is usually good. Food is very elaborated (and a little bit salty... More

Very good food with local ingredients but original and sympathetic mixes. Lots of different flavours and textures and despite the nouveau cuisine splashes and empty plates, actually quite filling! The waiters spoke good English and were very helpful but discreet. The restaurant was pretty quiet on a Wednesday evening in January and the decor a little to miniminal for my... More

Really enjoyed our meal here. The service was faultless - courteous, attentive, responsive, quick - and the menu was full of intersting selections (not all of them to my taste, like veal brains or foie gras). But there were plenty of other choices. I chose duck with a juniper sauce, which was delicious, and followed it with beef tenderloin with... More

Quite creative menu - we have been there with friends that had it recommended. Was good, good service (prety empty so we had 3 people serving us) but more expensive than expected. God bless you.

I had dinner with a few colleagues in Ancora. I liked the looks of the restaurant. Simple but stylish, a rather minimalistic decoration. The menu offers some nice choices of things you do not find in just any other restaurant. The food was nicely presented and tasteful. The service was a bit odd. The person in charge of service was... We booked to eat here last Sat night during a weekend break in Krakow. We arrived a little early for our 8.30pm reservation but that wasn't a problem; the place was totally dead - no music, barely any other diners, zero atmosphere. In keeping with a lot of Polish service in Old Town establishments (Jewish District much friendlier), it was... More

A nice dinner there, especially concerning the food. But the servers... Very much stressed, walking around everytime for trying to do well but at the end, too much visible, trying to do their best but it was really too much. I didn't like the way this restaurant is organized. The toilets are at the end of the dining room where... More

We have eaten here several times, and will do so again on next visit to Krakow. This occasion my wife's choices turned out better than mine. Nothing wrong with my consomme or steak, but neither sparkled and I thought were rather ordinary. On the other hand, my wife raved about her giant scallops which were cooked to perfection. For us... I have never walked out of a place before but had to leave Ancora without eating. We booked for 9.30pm and was hoping to have the taster menu. We arrived on time, was sat downstairs. It meant that all the diners were very spread out across the restaurant so for a Friday evening this seemed very quiet. We were greeted... More
