No minuses,,all pluses at our visit here last night. We've been to Kraków numerous times and have dined at many of the most noted and praised. La Fontaine ranks among the top five, possibly as high as #2 or #3. Service was friendly and professional from a bi-lingual staff. Menu choices were varied as were the prices. The chef's special,... Really tasty food. Pleasant staff and a lovely ambience. Having had a lovely meal here on our first night we decided to go back after having a pretty awful meal in between at a different restaurant. The food is beautifully presented and so much more than the menu describes. The portions are not huge but certainly enough. In this case... More

This restaurant should be on your list of eating places to visit if you are coming to Krakow. Loads of ambience. Service and food all very good. £45 for two people including drinks!

We stumbled across this place whilst searching for somewhere to eat on a freezing cold January evening in Poland. Upon entering the restaurant, it seemed quiet. The waitress promptly sat us and we walked through a beautiful maze of exposed brickwork and patio style indoor/outdoor seating in what felt like a secret garden. The design of this restaurant is wonderful,... More

We found this restaurant by accident having wandered down a side street from the Main Town Square. What a find it was! We were lead downstairs to a brick cellar where there were tables set in various nooks and crannies. The tables were set with table linens and decorated with fresh flowers. They charming waitress brought us a lovely salmon... More

Cozy place, the food was excellent, staff was polite and friendly. I had a snail ravioli as an appetizer and Duck fillet a la Plancha with potatoes as a main dish, and both meals were prepared really nicely.

Lovely interior with small intimate surroundings with a cellar style decor. Good choice of food and wines, my husband chose the prawn with sole gougons soup and loved it, I had the French onion soup but , whilst it was very nice it did not resemble French onion soup as I know it. My husband had the venison with wild... More

A regular dining spot for us on our trips to Krakow. On 11 November I had the 4 tapas styyle starter, and then the pheasant with liver. Both very good. The dishes here are full and flavourful. Not for those on a diet. The Argentine white wine is still on the list and is our favorite here. Careful how you... More

We really enjoyed our meal here on our last night in Kraków. French food with a Polish influence and all really well done. Service was friendly and attentive and the style of the layout with lots of underground "nooks and crannies" make it quite an intimate setting.
