We dined here on a Saturday evening at 7.30. We had pre-booked and informed the management of a special birthday of one of our companions. Perhaps because of this we were given our own little "cave" in the incredible basement of this most attractive restaurant. The waiting staff spoke impeccable English and couldn't have been more helpful and informative. It... More

Visited here on the 17th Jan 2014, showed down many stairs to a magnificent cellar table. The whole experience was magnificent. The only one very small complaint I had was that the wild Boar was a little dry, maybe overcooked. All other meals were excellent. A place I would to visit again to eat in another of the rooms. But... More

Chosen as it did have a few veggie options for one of our group though I had the goose carpaccio which was gorgeous. Followed by a sort of hunters stew, a local and very tasty local dish with a variety of meats and secret spices! Wild boar was also on the menu. Tried a very pleasant local red wine.

Several of us were in Krakow for the New Year celebrations and decided to visit Pod Aniolami for a special New Years Eve dinner. It was all booked in advance on the internet so we had no idea what to expect. As it turned out, it was an excellent decision. We were given a warm welcome on arrival and shown... More

Under the Angel is such an apt name for this gem of a place. After descending into cellars below the angel statuary, you enter another world - full of tangible history and olfactory temptations. The ancient surrounds and the traditional dishes, served by friendly and efficient personnel in period costume in one of the numerous souterrain niches and alcoves, make... More

The restaurant is in a basement. The atmosphere is cozy and warm. Feels like coming back in time. Very clean place, nice decoration and delicious food. We ate pierogi and it was gorgeous. The waiter also recommend a nice raspberry tart as a dessert. That was lovely! Good option for who is looking for nice atmosphere and good Polish food.

we had dinner (family of five) after a day at Auschwitz so needed a lift! the atmosphere is great, we were downstairs, very good food, not cheap but still good value. We ate at other restaurants at half the price, but the food was well presented, we went for the 4 course menu with the wild boar, which in retrospect... More

We visited this lovely and charming restaurant few days ago with my parents and girlfriend. We had a fabolous time and throughly enjoyed our meal! The restaurant is located on a busy street in the centre of Krakow near the main Square. As a starter we were served a delicious Smalec with bread, we loved it! We enjoyed all the... More

We discovered this restaurant by accident when the restaurant we had wanted to go to had no room for us. It was a very fortunate accident as we had a very good experience here. This restaurant is in a very old house. We were in a cellar room with stone walls and beamed ceilings. The food is good and authentically... More
