Atmospheric - 50 metres of Cloth Hall

This was the local Hilton recommendation and not disappointing. Entrance easily missed in shopping street; like a Narnia cupboard it opens into another world. Loads of nooks and crannies as well as larger party rooms, all atmospheric. Set menu Eur 40: Trout, dumplings, ewe's cheese, wild... read more

Booked Pod Aniolami for my birthday during a 5 day visit. We called in on spec and were given a tour of the various quirky rooms and levels and asked which table we would like which was great. Traditional Polish cuisine. Seeing Lard on the menu was a bit off putting but when it arrived we realised its what we... More

Food isn't expensive in Poland but this wasn't the cheapest. However we has a traditional set meal. Interesting and tasty. Not all what i would have chosen but typically polish: smoked goose, soup (traditional- can't remember name) wild boar (a bit dry) flan and ewe's cheese. Worth a visit

It was our first night in Poland and this is one of the restaurants our hotel recommended. The food was delicious - classic polish dumplings are a must! And the house wine is great. We could not fault anything with our night. Wonderful.

My Boyfriend and I came here as we really wanted to eat some Pierogi on our last day in Krakow. The interior is lovely, it's underground and very old looking, almost like a huge cave. The service was excellent and our waiter spoke perfect English. We ordered two different types of Pierogi dishes that were both some sort of mixed... More

Went here on our first night after arriving in Krakow at 22:30. The entrance door is squeezed between two shops on Ulica Grodzka, worth having a look on TripAdvisor pictures to make it easier to spot. Very accommodating, great selection of food, pleasant fast service. Food was excellent.

Asked our front desk to make us reservations at Pod Aniolami based on a Rick Steves guidebook recommendation and the positive reviews here on TA. I discovered a love of pierogi during our time in Poland and the pierogi ruski I enjoyed here ended up being the best of the trip. The atmosphere is unique and neat-- but the star... More

We had read about this place in The Daily Telegraph and particularly liked the sound of the wild boar with juniper berries. It was indeed very good. We went for the set menu which had 5 courses. Our only complaint would be that the courses all followed each other very quickly with very little time in between to digest each... More

I invited my French friends to "Pod Aniolami" on Grodzka Street and they loved it. I live in Cracow and may be subjective so their opinion has a value added. I suggest fried dumplings and duck. And vodka.
