Dined here one evening in the middle of August and ate inside, close to the beech wood oven - so, the restaurant was very warm! Having said that the place was comfortable and the food was good. I had the mushroom pierogi (Polish dumplings) to begin - which were the best I tasted during our visit to Krakow, I loved... More

We had a family dinner here on the porch and it was fantastic. The atmosphere was very welcoming and lively. The grilled food was amazing and generous portions. We had the apple pie for dessert and it was very good. The location is in the old town and near the central square so it's fun to take a stroll after... More

We had a table booked in the cellar, great setting and atmosphere. We both started with dumplings, oh my word how good were they!!! Then I had wild boar and wife had pork loin, both well cooked and presented with the amazing aroma and flavour of the log fire they were cooked over. Local wine was good and puddings were... More

We visited Krakow for a couple of days in August - in one of the main streets (ul. Grodzka 35) we saw the small door of this really ancient and beautiful restaurant (it is in activity since the beginning of 1900). We had the set dinner, 6 plates for around 27 pounds, which I strongly recommend if you are curious... More

We headed to Pod Aniolami on our first night and returned here for two more meals on our five day stay in Krakow. Each time we came to eat here we had beautiful food, good wine and great service. We had Zurek soup, Borsch soup, wood-fired salmon, wood-fired pork shaslik, mushroom, soup, pierogi, grilled cheese entree (and i'm sure a... More

Sited on Grodska street, near our hotel it had a few outdoor tables and many indoors. We sat outside - being in August and quite hot! - but the service from the start was excellent. The waitresses were attentive and prompt, spoke good english and were helpful in describing the menu. Needless to say the food was superb, not too... More

Nice food, lovely atmosphere, a little pricey but worth it if you are looking for an upmarket place. We returned there 11 year after our wedding reception (I would recommend the place for a small wedding reception) and enjoyed the meal, the atmosphere, and the service.

The setting in a 13th century house is really interesting and different. My daughter had Wild Boar which was very tasty as was my trout. Friendly and helpful staff. pricey be Krakow's standards but well worth it for a last night treat or a special occasion

We made a reservation, but did not need to. the site is just south of the central market. We sat in the basement in a small alcove all to ourselves. We had 3 very different meals and a bottle of wine and then dessert and it was all absolutely suburb. I had the Wild Boar steak, my wife had a... More

This restaurant (Under the Angels; literally look for the sign with angels) features various atmospheres for dining: outside on the main street, outdoor courtyard in back or fancier dining in one of the many dining rooms. The polish food was the best we found in Krakpow, especially the pierogi. Since we only ate local food on the streetside tables, hard... More
