This was walking distance from out hotel and the potato pancakes, perogies and honey chicken were all delicious. The desert was OK because there is no comparison to American Apple Pie. Other than desert dinner was fantastic

My wife and I discovered this gem by chance. We were in Krakow on a concert tour, and we were exhausted and hungry after a long drive from Warsaw. After walking just a couple blocks from our hotel in search of a meal, we found this amazing medieval looking log cabin that claimed to serve delicious authentic a Polish cuisine.... More

We came here on our first night in Poland. The atmosphere felt very authentic and the waitress was friendly enough. I ordered the boneless pork knuckle, which was enormous. I hadn't realised was that I was paying by weight and that they had given me the biggest one they could find. The bill came with a large service charge and... More

A large party of us (28) went here for a meal, the waiters and waitress managed to keep us all in food and drink without it seemed any fuss or effort. The meal was not to everyone in our party's taste, the joints of meat are basically low cost joints, knuckles, ribs etc. But they were all cooked to perfection,... More

This great restaurant must be the best way to experience traditional polish food in a great environment, we tried several dishes that were all delicious - generous portions and great service from staff in Polish dress, all washed down with great honeyed vodka. Well worth the walk across the river, highly recommended!

Have just returned from 4 night break in Krakow. After completing the 3 hour free walking tour of the Jewish Quarter it finished in the Ghetto Square south of the river near Schindlers Factory. So this restaurant is in a convenient location. It is very traditional, staff very pleasant and helpful and I chose the local assorted Pierogo - this... More

This is a must visit restaurant when in Krakow. Authentic Polish dishes, and a great menu with something for all and a great place for meat lovers. Some unusual dishes served in many different novel ways, with excellent quality food served throughout all courses. A fantastic welcoming place with a friendly feel, and great service with a smile. Don't miss... More

I had the shashlik. They poured vodka underneath it and lit it on fire to give it a little crisp table side. The home made vodka was excellent! Glad this was recommended to me by a hostel worker. Can't remember the name of the hostel, but I definitely remember this place.

I have Polish friends and have been to Poland many times and eaten in many restaurants, this one beats the lot. The building and interior are atmospheric, the service was attentive and the staff friendly, but the food, oh the food was wonderful. If there are four or more of you and you are not familiar with Polish cuisine they... More
