Good food, good value

The restaurant is little and not so highlighted, as it is not in the old town (however, just 200 metres away from the entrance in the old town). However, the Polish and International food quality is delightful and the prices are extremely reasonable. Some of the staff has trouble speaking English... read more

However, the Polish and International food quality is delightful and the prices are extremely reasonable. Some of the staff has trouble speaking English correctly, but it is not valid for all members... More

Very nice place, friendly people, good Polish food. Try the goulash soup, it is severe in a bread cup and is very good and cheap. I definitely recommend it

This little restaurante has a great atmosphere and serves good polish food at very reasonable prices. Had two mains, a desert, beers and quite a few vodkhas for less than £20. Service was excellent. Well used by locals - usually a good sign. Would definitely use again

On a very hot afternoon, we arrived in Krakau with bus from Wieliczka saltmine. The endstop of the bus is not so far from Chata and so we give it a try. The resto is outside the touristic citycenter, but at walking distance. It is close to the Barbakan, and the daily market (not on sunday) in Kleparz. So if... More

We ate fairly late in comparison with the locals and this restaurant was empty. It is a short walk out of town though. Food was the best we ate on our short holiday and is representative of traditional polish cuisine. We got the platter for 3 between 3 of us and that was way too much! The decor is amazing... More

Compared to price it was excellent. The restaurant was clean, service was good, food was ordinary. Not many tourists, most locals when we visited.

I was looking forward to visit this place so much. On paper everything looked perfect - nice mountain cottage decor, fireplace, polish folk music, short, traditional polish menu, reasonable prices. Chata deliver in every aspect but not one, sadly the most important, flavour. Kwasnica (sauerkraut soup), one of many in my life, was ok but nothing more than average. For... More

I visited this restaurant on a recent trip to Krakow. The restaurant is about ten minutes walk from the main square in a quiet sort of area. The restaurant was very inviting with a real rustic shepard hut style feel. The seats were wooden benches covered in sheep rugs. The waitress was dressed in old style Polish clothing and there... Courteous service, warm welcome, meal good at reasonable price. Mulled wine is hot red wine, highly suggested

I loved this place for the ambience. Open fireplace, candles, everything made of wood, quiet. The food was good too, nice beer.
