We ate here at lunchtime during our stay in March. The food was very good and the price exceedingly cheap for such good quality. Would definitely recommend this for a taste of Poland.

This is a super cosy restaurant with a great atmosphere. It feels a bit like being in the Alps! Get there early as we got there at 7pm on a Friday night and took the last table. Ordered the Polish platter for 2/3 people and there was enough food for 4 people easily. Great way to sample all the Polish... More

We ate here on our first night. It is a bit of a walk from the centre, perhaps 10 minutes at most but take your camera and wander gently photographing the Barbican, Planty and walls on the way. Chata is an atmospheric Polish restaurant, cosy and friendly feeling with wood and skins so it seems like you are in a... More

Simple but great food, authentic style, very nice people and insanely low prices. I wish I lived near Chata :-)

We went there for dinner on the 7th April, very unique interior designs with old house decorations and wool furs on the bench. Very very cheap and nice Polish food, didn't even charge 10% service fee, recommend people if they want to try special restaurant with traditional Polish food :)

I desperately wanted to love this charming restaurant and there are many things we loved about it. We got there early on a Friday night which was good because tons of people were turned away. This is a little restaurant and there aren't a lot of tables. The waitress was helpful and friendly but I felt really sorry for her.... More

Great restaurant to discover the Polish Cuisine! Friendly staff (speaks english). Not a tourist trap. Very good and traditional food. Traditional music and decorations. Good price. You will love it for a romantic meal or with a few friends and family. I might go back tonight to try other dishes!

We ordered two beers, pierogi ruskie and plate of salads. The pierogi didn't taste quite as they should (I have more than average knowledge of pierogi), and some of the salads were way too finely minced. But the food was very cheap, and still really good. The best thing about this place is the atmosphere. Really old polish style. The... More

I am polish who lives in Cracow, but my occupancy is working with tourists. One day I got an order for group of 10 people who would like to see traditional side of Poland. One of episodes was to serve them "highland culture". Very thanks for "Chata" because they gave us "the top of the mountain" in the Cracow's Town... More

While visiting a friend in Krakow he wanted me to experience a traditional Polish meal. He found Chata and what a find it was! If you visit Krakow this charming little restaurant, tucked away in the side streets of the city (very safe) is a must stop for dinner. The log benches and tables, a crackling fireplace, and a place... More
