Description: The Hard Rock Cafe in Krakow, which used to be the capital of Poland, is situated in the UNESCO World Heritage Market Square next door to the most famous church in Poland - St. Mary’s Basilica. From the tallest of its 2 towers, on the hour every hour, the bugle player plays the "Hejnal". According to legend, in 1241 as the Mongol invasion of Poland approached the Krakow, a guard on the church tower sounded the alarm by playing the "Hejnal", and the city gates were closed before the city could be taken. The bugler, however, was shot in the throat and did not complete the tune, which is why it now ends abruptly before completion The 500-square-meter cafe includes seating for 160 over three floors, two vibrant bars and a Rock Shop. Hard Rock Cafe Krakow showcases memorabilia from some of the world's most iconic artists, including John Lennon, KISS, Prince and The Who. Key memorabilia items are now on display, from Jimi Hendrix’s embroidered poncho; and an autographed silver harmonica played by Bob Dylan; to a pair of black tassel gloves worn by Madonna and an autographed cymbal played by Tico Torres of Bon Jovi.

One of the nicer decorated Hard Rocks, very lovely floating mezzanine on the 2nd level. All tables for eating are at least on the 1st floor most enjoying enviable views of the basilica across the street or the impressive main square in Krakow. Shop is smaller than I have seen before but very well stocked and as per usual excellent... More

Food is pretty good, with good music, friendly service and a good view across the square too. Cheap compared to UK prices, but worked out slightly more expensive than some of the other restaurants locally.

Whilst normally an advocate for seeking out new experiences and local cuisine, there comes a time when one wants the comforts of classic favourites. When that time comes, be it after a few weeks, a few days or even a few hours, you would be hard pushed to find a more consistently reliable and delicious tasting menu of food and... More

We liked the food, of course, and didn't mind that the restaurant was upstairs because this gave great views, but didn't like the tables and stools much, quite uncomfortable. Good location however, food and service, so they are forgiven!

Liked: great location right on the market square, good service Disliked: tasteless cocktails (my mojito tasted like diluted rum, with lemon instead of lime and even without sugar), poor choice, tasteless burgers, though large, very expensive for Krakow. Conclusion: Only worth going if you are an ardent fan of Hard Rock Cafe. But compared with the ones in other cities... More

We came here as it was in a good location, not far from our hotel either. The decor - as with all hard rock caf'e was spot on - it was full of musical history. The cocktails are amazing! Its a good place to start your evening.

One of the down falls is that it is small. There is lots to see around the square!! The food was good and the staff was very helpful. I think because it is so small, they can ensure everyone is taking care of. We set outside, took in the sites and had a great meal! Margarita's were great!! There is... More

If you're looking for quick snack, Hard Rock has pricey but delicious nachos. There are may wanna-be places in Krakow, but for Nachos hard rock is by far the best. Pricey beers for Polish standards ($4 / 14 zl) but for international standards still quite inexpensive. The view from the first floor is great but if you're looking for a... More
