Morskie Oko Lake

Beautiful small lake surrounded by mountains of about 8000 feet high. There is swarm of people visiting everyday during summer months. Better to go in buses from Zakopane during summer as you may get car parking 1-2 km away from the place you start journey on foot to the lake 10 km far. One can... read more

Traditional food beautifully served - generous portions. Traditional folk music played throughout! Had to try the desserts! Service was quick even though it was busy. Great atmosphere.

This is a wonderful restaurant. The food is delicious! The menu is filled with many traditional Polish dishes. Prices are great, you won't leave hungry. There are several levels to this restaurant, we ate downstairs which was very cozy and filled with traditional Polish decorations, and music. We loved this place. :)

This smart traditional polish restaurant is located in the quieter atmosphere of the Plac Szczepanski, just a few minutes walk away from the busy main market square. It is friendly and welcoming and the restaurant offers both comfortable indoor and alfresco dining. It is the perfect place to experience traditional Polish regional cuisine and live folk Polish music. Our server... More

We were recommended this place by the bartender at Wodka, and we were so grateful. We wanted to experience traditional Polish food but not somewhere touristy or inauthentic. We went there twice in one weekend it was so good. The first time we were down in the basement which was decked out in wood, with sheepskins on the benches, and... More

We were out later than normal one evening looking for a restaurant away from the main square and came across the Morskie Oko. This restaurant looked inviting with alfresco dining overlooking a quieter square. Our waiter was great fun, really friendly and made us feel very welcome....and he encouraged us to try and order our drink and food in Polish!... More

When you first enter the restaurant, you don't think you will see anything different. However, when you venture downstairs you will be amazed by the atmosphere. The traditional food is inexpensive and tasty.

As many people have said, this is a wonderful place to go for reasonably priced Polish cuisine. Nothing especially fancy but they do things well. Had dancers entertain us in the evening as well as a live band! Thoroughly reccommended! Decor is nice and it has a great environment. We even came here twice!

The food here is fantastic and as with most places in the city the service is great. We have stayed in Kraków for five nights and despite saying we wouldn't eat anywhere twice we have eaten two evening meals and lunch here. Be sure to order your side dishes with your food. Salads and potatoes are ordered separately. The wine... More

The restaurant is situated in a heart of Krakow, and it is decorated in a traditional Polish mountain style. Staff was wearing traditional costumes too and there was also live music. It was all pretty impressive. Food, however is simple, so if you like to try typical Polish gastronomy, it is the place to go.
