My husband and I went for lunch on Wenesday around 1 pm. There was no problem getting a table. The restaurant was quite empty. We ordered boneless beef rib and breast of duck. Both dishes were good but not exceptional. Perhaps dinner would be different. Since there are so many restaurants to try, I will not be hurry back for... More

Booked Starka for a birthday treat after reading all the positive reviews on TA and have to say it was bitterly disappointing. Service was adequate at best and quite inconsistent (spot the regulars) and the food was average. Don't think I would go out of the way to return, even if the live music was easy on the ear.

Starka is situated in Kazimierz (Jewish quarter) approx 10 mins walk from the main square. Serving wholesome and generous sized Polish meals, I can understand why this friendly restaurant is so popular. The food was nice, some of it wasn't to my taste but it was beautifully presented and complete value for money and the complimentary homemade bread and caramel... More

We got stuck by the door, which wasn't great, but other than that we loved this restaurant. The food was excellent. We especially loved the beet soup, camembert, and stuffed chicken. Definitely requires reservation in advance. They turned away so many people who walked in.

I booked a reservation online on was glad i did, people were turned away whilst we sat there. The restaurant was busy and the service and food was fantastic and the price reasonable. Whilst sitting eating our meal a couple starting playing music which was very nice whilst eating our meals. This was the best restaurant we used whilst in... More

We tried very hard to get a reservation at this restaurant since it was over the weekend time. And we were so happy when we got one table available for lunch on Monday with hotel Holiday Inn help(evening was full booked!) The service was nice and friendly. The food we had includes zurek soup, herring tartar, boneless pork nuckle, boneless... More

the place is full of tourist. As a Polish person I must say that food is good but it is not exceptional. I think it is just overrated. the place is dark, the menu carte is very simple like the one you can find in most touristic places.
