When you step foot into this very eyecatching restaurant you know your in for a treat as the interior is just so cosy. The restaurant has a real rustic look to it,all wood interior, tiled floor, nice furnishing's and lot's of hanging pot's and pan's suspended from the ceiling, it just look's so cool. we got a nice table were... The moment I entered the place I was nicely surprised by how cozy and nice it is. Rel polish style food and very good prices. We were two girls and asked for two dishes - pay attention to this: it might be too much, as the portions are huge and I dare say, polish food is not very light. We... More

We had a dinner at this restaurant and ordered some traditional Polish dishes. The portions were literally giant! (You may actually consider ordering 1 portion for two people) The food was well cooked and very tasty. If you enjoy central European cuisine (and specifically Polish one), you should put this place in your to do list. The personnel was also... More

My wife and I had dinner at the Starej Kuchni one evening as we were only staying a couple of doors away. Great ambiance for couples, giving that warm and homely feeling complimented by the oldie worldie traditional decor. The food is great but the portion size is just too big (pork knuckle would feed a family of four easily).... More

I am just back from Krakow and I ate in this restaurant on the 20/10/15. The restaurant is positioned within walking distance from the main square(five minutes) and is small but comfortable. On the night I visited there was a run on the chefs as a very large group just arrived in front of us.30+.arrived unexpected. Our waitress explained there would... More

The restaurant is really pretty with an open oven near the entrance and lots of nice decorations. BUT: We had to wait for an hour for our food. When it arrived, one dish was wrong; the waiter had not understood the order correctly. It took only a couple of minutes for the right dish to arrive then, but the meat... More

Called in on off chance to get out of the rainy cold evening. homely restaurant with wood burning oven. food was freshly prepared and far too large a portion but we did our best to finish it.!! complimentary homemade lemon vodka to finish was quite devine !! friendly service too.

hopefully someone has a better review. waitress wasn't happy to see/serve us. son ordered pork knuckles, we ordered pierogi assortment. of the 3, only liked one, the beef(?). the others were inedible to me, at least. the pork knuckle had a heavy layer of fat surrounding the meat underneath and the meat underneath was not appealing. maybe too strong cultural... A warm and welcoming place to eat on a cold October evening. The staff are friendly and English-language menus (accompanied by pictures if you feel the need) are available. The portions are generous and the food flavoursome. The 'Miller's Wheel', a large potato pancake with bacon, cheese, pork and spinach leaves is a one course meal for two if your... More
