Had lunch here. Walked past in the morning and saw a sign advertising Klezmer music at 2pm. So we arrived around 1.45pm to find the sign had changed to 1pm and so we had missed some of the set, which was a bit disappointing, however, we still heard a good deal. I had just a starter and pudding. The starter... More

We went to this restaurant a few times as it was close to our hotel and was handy for a drink on our way back to the hotel. The lentil soup with cheese toast was delicious. The service could have been quicker at times but in general very good.

Had lunch with my wife and 2 friends yesterday. The hummus starter was the highlight of my meal. My mains was fillet with potatoes and garlic sauce. The potatoes were slightly over cooked but my medium cooked fillet was almost raw in the middle. Blood oozing from it onto my sauce made me feel nauseous. We complained and received a... More

Like many other restaurants in this area, there is outdoor dining and music. The menus are much the same. We ate dessert here one day and returned for dinner the following night. We were not disappointed.

The food was good but ruined by lousy service. The first evening we were there we got the menu but the waiter never came back so we went on to another place. The next evening we ordered one of their most expensive redwines. We waited a long time for something to drink while the waitress ran around and looked busy... More

We chose to eat on our last evening in the Jewish quarter, and sat down at this restaurant- I'm pleased we did. We were a party of 6.Service was prompt and in good spirit. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and the wine was very good too. Dessert was wonderful. The price for a table of 6 was £100- difficult to beat.... More

Wow, the food in this restaurant was the best we have had in Krakow. Situated on the long square adjoining the Old Synagogue, this area oozes Jewish culture and Esther is no exception except for the pork dishes on the menu :) ... We came here for a late evening dinner on the terrace and loved not only the atmosphere... More

We were invited inside by a man outside informing us that there was live Klezmer music at 6.30 every evening. We had a quick look at the menu and decided to have a drink and come back. Very interesting surroundings, great staff. Authentic Jewish/Polish Menu. For around 13zl (£2.50) I have a pumpkin soup served with cheese toast. Presented very... More

My wife wanted potatoe pancakes so our search brought us to Ester. Of course we also had dinner - salmon and ghoulash which were also wonderful. Our dessert was the apple pie with ice cream which is a rather simplistic description for a light apple strussel topped with ice cream, whipped cream, blueberries and a nest made from spun honey...
