Great service and very good Polish food. The pierogis were excellent. The old Polish soup was great. Good selection of wines and salads. The restaurant was filled with old photos and old Polish country memorabilia. This place is half a block off the market square.

It says a lot when taking a look at other reviews posted thus far this year and only two have awarded CK Dezerter less than four out of five. My wife and I dined at CK Dezerter for her 30th birthday. We hadn't reserved a table anywhere because we know there are hundreds of restaurants in Kraków and also hundreds... More

Pleasant place to sit down and enjoy a meal with friendly service. The food is only ok. The soups were small and average. The rice with fish dish was dry. The herring with apples was very good. Overall go for something simple.

We got curious on the restaurant due to a large number of Michelin recommendations on the door. It turned out to have excellent local dishes and top service. I had a Goulash which were really really good, and a pancake with almonds and chocolate saus for dessert, which also were very tasty! The red wine were served a bit warm,... More

Found this restaurant as we were walking to another restaurant nearby as we were given a flyer outside offering 10% off. We were not dissapointed as it proved to be good Polish food at a very reasonable price. There were a few tourists there like ourselves but mainly the clientele were Polish families. Would recommend the Borsch soup as a... More

I was looking for local food and this restaurant is perfect for this purpose. The food is really good and the price too, except for the water (12 zloty for 1 liter is a bit too much I think). Nice athmosphere and service.

Lovely, just off the main square, lovely service. We had been walking round for hours to try to satisfy my veggie tastes which was surprisingly hard in Krakow. We sat in the window to watch the world go by. Veggie options on all parts of menu inc specials which was a first! To start I had mushroom soup in a... More

Well, this is a true gem. There is such a choice of places in Krakow's city centre and I am really glad we chose CK Dezerter to have our meal in. The menu is very unusual, taking inspiration from Austo-Hungarian Emperium (when Krakow was a part of it)- so there is a mix of Slovak/Czech/Austrian/Polish/Hungarian. A nice change from all... More

CK Dezerter is not a Polish restaurant despite what the other reviewers say but rather they serve dishes influenced by the old Austro-Hungarian empire providing a nice change from the standard Polish dishes available in most restaurants. The have a excellent range of Austrian and Hungarian wines. The food is excellent and no complaints about the service. Just off Rynek... More
