This restaurant is in a lovely area in Kazmeirz, with several bars and restaurants. We'd originally gone there to go to an Italian restaurant we'd been to before, but it was closed. Friends had recommended this one previously though, so we thought we'd take a look. We were immediately taken by how quirky, warm and inviting the restaurant appeared through... More

Good, hearty, traditional food and free live music to boot. Had a very pleasant evening with family and would recommend.

Just returned from a 3 night stay in Krakow. We found this restaurant by chance and thank god we did as It was an absolute delight. We made sure we visited on 3 evenings. You enter a dimly lit treasure trove of wonderful objects, lovely candle lit tables, and a really lovely atmosphere. The waitress on each occasion was very... More

The obscure Polish name of this restaurant translates to "Once Upon a Time in Kazimierz." The reference is to Kazimierz, the Jewish Quarter just south of central Old Krakow. This excellent Yiddish-style restaurant is located in an old tailor's shop that has been rescued and preserved since the calamities and depredations suffered by the Jewish community during World War II... We been here twice and had lovely meals on both occasions in the evening. The restaurant is small, like walking into a small living room which is full of odd objects. We were drawn to eating here because it has full of character with a great atmosphere which we liked. As for the food well it was tasty and plentiful.... More

(Because this restaurant can be found through its Polish or English name, here is my review from the "english version") : I probably might sound not very objective, but I would like to tell you how fantastic experience this restaurant offered to me and my husband. Few months ago we were looking for a different, original and atmospheric place for... More

The room is full of old objects, dress, machinery, bench vise used as tables, in an enchanting atmosphere. The old banner are original sings of old shops. We had only an espresso, and it was the best espresso in Kracow we had. Very italian coffee. Is compulsory to visit this place during your tour in Kazimierz. The waitress is nice... More

We had garlic soup and fried liver, heart, chicken with rice. Everything was tasty, besides old and disgusting croutons. The restaurant is kept in an old style, good service and prices are reasonable

we looked at eating here as it was recommended and we weren't disappointed. The food was good although I would advise against the dumplings as a starter unless you share them, they are both very tasty and very filling. The interior decor is very interesting and with the Jewish music being played makes for a very enjoyable atmosphere.
