Great for fun, a bit less for food

Nice place to go for a bit of chit-chat with friends while eating as has big tables surrounded by short wooden walls which allows to keep privacy of your table while talking or laughing. This is one of just a handful of actual Polish restaurants in Szczecin, but it's a good one. I had the duck with with gravy and apple, with Pierogi and red cabbage on the side and it was absolutely delicious. Hands down the best meal I had all week. The serving size was decent too. The service was reasonably friendly,... More

We have been here many times. Always been served good polish food - that means dishes with vegetables and good decent meat. The restaurant decor is polish country style. Also outdoor service on a sunny day. And as a starter you can go to the "Schmaltz-corner" - that is bread and pig fat and cucumbers. Put on some salt and... More

We had a very rude and arrogant waiter who would rather give me language lessons than do his damn job and take my order and serve my food without me having to try and get his attention all the time. The food was not bad but not great. Don't know if I would go there again.

I went here after reading so many positive reviews. It's very easy to find. It has tables inside and outside I ordered a potato pancake covered with meat and a delicious sauce. I really enjoyed the food, however we had to wait an enormous amount of time for it. It might have been because the restaurant was busier than usual,... More

Came on recommendation from the hotel. Big menu, big portions. Decor was very cosy and fitted the food perfectly. A little slow service and much more food than anyone can finish. Overall, very good experience :-)

We happened on this restaurant at lunchtime as we were taking a walk in Szczecin. We were so glad we stopped in. It has a very welcoming atmosphere, well decorated and with very pleasant staff. The luncheon special was excellent - chicken cutlet with roasted potatoes and carrots -- at a very reasonable price. Although they have outdoor seating in... More

Having come for dinner we opted for 3 starters and a salad between the 2 of us, and that was perfect! A starter and a main course would be a struggle (as the portions are very generous). Rustic and traditional interior and friendly very service! We enjoyed our evening very much, and would recommend it to anyone who is after... More

I stumbled upon the Pod Kogutem restaurant by accident and ended up eating there for most of the week. Once I got used to the kitsch interior, I found the staff to be extremely welcoming and helpful, the portions to be huge and filling, and the quality of the food to be first class. I was a bit put off... More
