This was an amazing experience and would recommend this restaurant to any fish or seafood lover in Gdańsk. The ambience was lovely and although it was dark outside (time of year) I can imagine the views towards the river and a bit of people watching...during dinner would be enjoyable. The food was some of the best I have ever eaten. Particular standouts were the starters of the scallops with caviar and I had one of the 'bowls' which was a huge pot of mussels and clams. Mains were also stunning. We didn't have room for a dessert. Staff were knowledgeable, attentive and helpful without being intrusive. This was a dinner I will remember for a very long time.More

Me and my fiancé can’t read a lick of polish and we’re hungry. We were searching all over for a fish restaurant that was either open or actually existed, we found out this was close and rocked up. We were completely oblivious to the 4...star rating the hotel had and knew we were in a good restaurant , just off of appearance alone. We knew we were in deep water when we dressed up casually and spontaneously appeared at a venue where everyone looked nice. Having been served in venues like this in the UK and being judged or weakly served because we didn’t dress the type, so we were nervous. However, we were very happy to see that we were given the full experience and treatment as anyone else. Let’s Break it down. Venue - 10/10 -It’s a hotel. It looked grand and so did everything as a result. Food -We both had the fish and chips with peas with minty sauce. - The fish was crispy and delicious and unlike in some UK venues the batter actually sticked to the fish so this was pleasing to experience! -The mint sauce was just divinely delicious and refreshing. - Chips were crispy and perfectly seasoned. Drinks - we had Coke zeros but they offer a wide range of wines and cocktails. They even stated that the can make your favourite cocktail even if it’s not on menu! Service - straight to the point. - Accommodating. - sleek. Also we did the math. You can get 2 starters, two sirloins and two desserts for less than 100 pounds! How great is that! Stay financially safe Poland.More

I researched this restaurant as a spot to have breakfast and we were not disappointed. We were not aware that it is also the restaurant of a hotel but that didn't matter. Their a la carte breakfasts were outstanding. It has a spot on the...banks of the river which I'm sure is stunning in summer but in Nov 23 it was -6 deg C and snowy and the hoardings were up on the rivers edge for construction work so we were very glad to be cosy inside.More

This was by far our best dining experience in Danzig. From start to finish, the food was delicious and of excellent quality, a skillful mixture of sometimes unexpected combinations. A talented chef is obviously at work in this kitchen! The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant,...the staff are friendly, obviously experienced, attentive and helpful. As an added bonus, there is a lovely view over the water. A remarkable dining experience, don't miss it!More

Very nice atmosphere on the riverside. Staff were very kind. Food was very good, wide selection of fresh fish and unconventional dishes. Prices are affordable, especially considering the high quality of the food. Worth mentioning that the cocktails were very good as well.

Perhaps it was an off night considering the high Tripadvisor ranking 🤔 but this was the least successful meal we had in Gdansk. There did not seem to be an interest in the food- ordered halibut and it was served almost raw on a cold...plate with a sickly sweet seaweed salad. steak was ordered but no question how it should be done- and served with a couple of roasted garlics. Chips ordered as sides were a travesty - probably frozen. The waiter was more interested in selling add-ons. There is a lot to be said for a limited menu done to perfection. This is not the placeMore

We were a family of four on the look out for a special meal out and Zafishowani fit the bill perfectly! The decor was beautiful and the atmosphere was very welcoming but there was a definite buzz about the place. We were immediately greeted and...shortly after, seated. The wine menu (and shop) is very impressive and the staff very knowledgeable about the wines. The food menu was equally splendid - a fusion of Polish and Japanese that worked really well. Our waiter was friendly and offered us some advice concerning our order - especially when the kids were over ordering on the sides! We had a pre-starter of a salmon foam with bread, which was light and tasty and went down well with all of us - including the salmon hater! We had the Hamachi - Japanese tuna - (x2) , Fish soup and Calamari to start and all dishes were beautifully presented and delicious. This was followed up by the soft shell crab burger, mussels and clams (x2) and rib. Needless to say, this was also incredibly tasty, came in generous size portions and there were no complaints at all. This was all washed down (for the adults at least) with a Spanish rose and followed up by espressos at the end. The kids still had room for pudding and wolfed down the vanilla ice cream, fruit and cream. There was nothing that could be improved upon at all. The staff were friendly and attentive - but gave us enough space to enjoy our meal. The price was absolutely reasonable for the quality of the food we had and our surroundings. 10/10! We would definitely return when next in Gdansk.More

This restaurant boasts modern decor and overlooks the water on the ground floor of the Hanza Hotel, Gdansk. The restaurant is in a centrally located area of the old town. The fish dishes were very good, in particular the calamari which was exceptional. There also...appeared to be a good selection of meat dishes although we chose to stay with the fish. The owner manager, Lukasz, is very charming and has recently added a wonderful wine shop which is a great addition. He was also very helpful and knowledgeable with wine selection in the restaurant. This restaurant and wine shop are well worth a visit if you happen to be in Gdansk.More

We booked this restaurant for a special meal, the reviews looked great. When we arrived it was not very busy at all but got sat in the charmless back room next to the kids play area . The front room is lovely but the back...room does not look like pictures on the internet more like the old Baltic ferries. Anyways, the waiter was really nice but the food was bland, and didn’t have any taste at all. The halibut arrived without any of the condiments/sides mentioned on the menus. It just had the fish, unseasoned and some peas hoots, as garnish. No grilloles, caramelised silver onions and planchetta. It also took 1hr 45 minutes before we got served (we had oysters for starters which needs no cooking) I think they may have forgotten about us in the back room & maybe the ingredient ran out at end of the night. It’s a shame as the people in the front of the restaurant may have had a better experienceMore
