We had a great meal here . Started with mushroom soup in bread then we shared the dumpling combo with three different dips washed down with lashings of zubrowka ! Can't fault it. Good staff especially the blonde lady who spoke good English . Thank you xx

We sat outside at this restaurant which was lovely on a warm evening. We had raspberry pivos (beer with raspberry flavouring) which were great, and some pierogi which were pretty average. The staff are friendly, the decor is good and it featured some extravagant and slightly freaky taxidermy.

Located on a corner with in- and out-door seating. The inside has an array of taxidermied boars (thus it's name). I had the cherry pierogies while the family stayed with the savory meat and vegetable ones. Everyone enjoyed their choices and mine was so good we ordered another round of cherry pierogies for everyone to share!

This place kills it with the pierogi's! Over 15 different types to choose from or choose the sample platter that comes with over 35 pierogi. Wash it all down with some local polish beer. Plus everything is very cheap and inexpensive. The place was easy to find and we decided to visit off of a trip advisor review. I suggest... More

Dumplings were lovely, big choice of different kinds. For those undecided there is an option to order a selection. excellent value for price. I do agree with someone who previously commented on zurek: too much bread, too little soup.

Lots of pierogi choices. Good beer. Decent borscht. Fast and friendly service with adequate English. Recommended by locals. Prices ok. Convenient for the old town. Eat outside if you can. A recommend.

We tried Pierogarnia U Dzika for three reasons: the recommendation in Frommers; the fact we love polish pierogi (who doesn't); and it's charming location with outdoor dining on the front ground floor balcony facing charming Piwna Street in Old Town Gdansk. Sad to say, we were disappointed. Although not awful, our experience was -- just average. The four kinds of... More

Ate here 3 lunchtimes, so you could say we loved the place. We had Pierogis twice and they were lovely. On our final visit we had trout, which was supposed to be baked, but was actually fried in butter. Even better! Our only complaint was that we ordered french fries but they didn't turn up until we had nearly finished... More

We spent in Gdansk 1.5 days and went to Pierogarnia u Dzika 2 times. First time we tried baked dumplings, Piechuhy (sorry for possible misspelling): big, tasty, crispy, lots of filling. Choose your favorite sauce and enjoy! Great with a glass of cold beer. Another day we tried classical pierogi - was up to our expectations as well. Waitress are... More

We went here 3 nights out of 6 it was so good. The Pierogi is the best ever. Trust me my girlfriend is an expert. Try the 35 Pierogi for sharing it is so good with a mixture of fillings, a bit like a lucky dip but none disappointed. Again it is traditional Polish fare and the wild boar is... More
