A little more attention?

The food was excelllent. We had the trout and the Hallibut. Very nice location and stylish decor. Being one of two guests that evening, our waitress could easily have attended our table a little better and the place would have got full score from us.

I first visited Barylka in early 2009 and always make a point to go back on each visit to Gdansk. Weather permitting, we always sit outside as It's location on the waterfront combined with the decor and plants and surrounding scenery gives me a sense that I consciously think "it feels good to be sitting here" - and beyond the... We were the only people in the restaurant this evening. We sat on the ground floor, and it was nice and quiet, just some classical music in the background. We ordered, and the wine was served. So far so good. Then enters a man, possibly the owner. He turns on a TV, and switches to a football match with high... More

We ate at this restaurant on our first night in Poland. The staff were friendly and polite and spoke excellent English, nothing was too much trouble. The food and drink was delicious and incredibly reasonably priced - a whole duck with various accompaniments cost the equivalent of around £6. Would definitely eat here again.

Both positive and negative sides of this restaurant visit. The location is good aside the river, nice place, clean. We were sitting in 2nd floor. Nice interior, cozy. The waiter was polite and service minded. The problem started when we got bread for our table. Really dry and not a good start. I did the "menu 1" 4 course meal.... More

We sat upstairs and it was beautifully furnished and had a rather luxurious feeling. However we were the only guests and that made it rather quiet. Our food was very nice, we had the duck and also the dumplings with salmon was very good. Nice and swift service.

Excellent food and lovely ambience, with limited inside space, we were lucky to get a table, I had the polish sour soup with sausage, bacon & egg in a loaf of bread, delicious.

The restaurant is along the promenade along the water. If warm enonugh nice to sit outside. Inside there is a more modern first floor and a more traditional looking second floor. Had a very tasty soup, which was served in a hollowed out bread roll. Very good with beer and could have been the whole meal, if I had finished... More

What captured my eye was the quaint and serene look of the establishment. The patio gives off a very classy look and feel. My family and I however chose the terrace upstairs to have more privacy. The view from the top is spectacular. They have the most delicious fish. Service was wonderful and they spoke very good, clear English. I... More

We had planned to go elsewhere but this restaurant was busy and the food looked good. We were both pleased with our meals and the service we received.the view by the river is great. We sat outside where a heater kept us warm. We recommend this restaurant.
