I got the pork chop which wasn't so flavorful, but was fine. Potatoes good. Beer awesome. In general the portions were small and prices high for the area. The restaurant itself is amazing to look at, like you are a king in a royal palace. But the biggest problem I had was that I paid by credit card and it... More

The decor of this restaurant reminded us of a museum of Gdansk/Danzig history. The walls were cluttered - er, decorated - with all manner of things, ships, shields, etc. The food is definitely Polish, and since Lech Walesa is reputed to be a regular customer, there is a special five course dinner that he is said to like. My wife... More

We were looking for a quiet restaurant away from the bustling of the port and stumbled over this one. The interior is just amazing! Despite the interior expensive looks, we found the food reasonably priced. The menu is genuinely Polish and there is a good selection of wines. The rooms are air-conditioned and very comfortable.

I live in Gdansk and often take my foreign guests to Restauracja Gdanska. They all love it. For the interior (that makes you smile), service (that makes you special) and a great selection of Polish cuisine dishes. Never fails.

Supposed to be Lech Walesas favourite restaurant. It is quite fantastic inside, spoilt only by the live tv at one end. Walls adorned by photos of the owner with celebrities. They must have had better service than us. The waiter serving us was morose and unwelcoming. My bigos was poor, had better from a tin. To be fair, my wife... More

Nice location, very good service fast and helpful. Tacky decoration which is part of the fun. Clean Not expensive. But the food is just OK. i had a very good president's herring. Alas, the fried trout was far from tasty. In fact the best part was the vegetables... Well, Not bad really, but I wont remember what I ate in... More

Gdanska Restaurant was a very enjoyable and unique experience. The restaurant is unique in its décor in that there are ships hanging from the ceiling and it is loaded with unique artifacts and decorations. This added to the ambience of this Polish restaurant as our group arrived to find local musicians in Polish costume singing and playing music for our... More

I can recommend visiting during the day, -the price for the plat du jour was a bargain for such a quaint individual place. The decor is fabulous. Wouldn't have been quite so happy at paying evening prices but at lunchtime it's great.

I ordered a set menu: smoked salmon with ikra, borstch with dumplings, pork with roast potatoes and roasted apple. The food was OK, and the portions big, but Gdansk has better food to offer for a much lower price. Waiters were polite and attentive. The place has charm, but I'll probably not go there again.

I have chosen this restaurant for my B-day dinner, as I would like to have nice good polish food... and I must say that: - food is good - service... OK - but the manager of the restaurant was drunk.... the place was quite empty - this was Wednesday... and first he was almost have sex in some small room... More
