We (two of us) had dinner at Restauracja Gdanska in early September 2014 and while we did not find the food or the atmosphere (or the value for money) to be outstanding, we did have an enjoyable meal. Before coming to the restaurant in the evening, we had stopped by during the day to enquire whether we needed a reservation... More

The owner is very proud of the visitors of the restaurant, so lot of memorabilia are displayed. But the cuisine is delicious, and restaurant has an unforgettable atmosphere.

The location is very nice. The food is okay. The service is very, very slow. When we finished, it took forever to get the check, then forever to get the credit card machine to pay. And, they were not particularly busy.

First impression: "Is it a Museum, a rich private dining room or a restaurant?" And the answer is it's one of the best experience you'll ever had! Service: Kind and not pretentious... Waiter and waitresses treats you like a VIP! Smiling and helpful! Proud and professional! Started with a bunch of typical polish specialities before to order. The food: Traditional... More

I have been in this restaurant following the indication of my polish collegue. This is a typical polish restaurant with an high food quality and an atmosphere warm and friendly. A quick service is very appreciated and the availability of the people inside the restaurant is a must. Good for business dinner or for your personal enjoyed night, the restaurant... More

... typical. Expensive, very average food. Location is also average. A set menu was also advertised outside on the sidewalk, but was unavailable for obscure reasons... Only positive points are service and setting (a bit over the top for some). Will not return.

I got the pork chop which wasn't so flavorful, but was fine. Potatoes good. Beer awesome. In general the portions were small and prices high for the area. The restaurant itself is amazing to look at, like you are a king in a royal palace. But the biggest problem I had was that I paid by credit card and it... More

The decor of this restaurant reminded us of a museum of Gdansk/Danzig history. The walls were cluttered - er, decorated - with all manner of things, ships, shields, etc. The food is definitely Polish, and since Lech Walesa is reputed to be a regular customer, there is a special five course dinner that he is said to like. My wife... More

We were looking for a quiet restaurant away from the bustling of the port and stumbled over this one. The interior is just amazing! Despite the interior expensive looks, we found the food reasonably priced. The menu is genuinely Polish and there is a good selection of wines. The rooms are air-conditioned and very comfortable.

I live in Gdansk and often take my foreign guests to Restauracja Gdanska. They all love it. For the interior (that makes you smile), service (that makes you special) and a great selection of Polish cuisine dishes. Never fails.
