Try food from Poland!

I read somewhere that the local kitchen in Poland was great if you enjoyed greasy fat meat. Not very tempting. But we had a good local lunch here. If your going to Gdansk you should not miss this. Try President Lech Walesa favorites.

Stopped in for late lunch (obiad) and had two courses. Was with my Polish girlfriend. Zurek soup was good and tasty. However, followed up with pork cutlet which was average at best and I had a most disappointing bigos. Nothing but cabbage and sausage - no other meat. I may not be Polish, but I know what goes into a... More

The wife and I went there as a special meal as it looked nice enough from the outside and the menu looked interesting. We had to book a table for dinner. That's no issue, but the place was only 20% full and we were put on a table in the corridor between two rooms and essentially left there. We needed... More

Fixed price lunch about £6-£7 with a beer or glass of wine. Food would be good in somewhere with less history or ambition (the waters are dressed rather like 19th century cavalry officers, there's more dark wood and velvet than you can imagine). Obviously was THE place to go in the past, but the celeb photos stop about 1990. Interesting,... More

This is by far the resturant with the best atmosphere we have ever visited. The waithers did a exellent job. They served us like we vere royals, couldent been better. The food was Polish cousine at it's best, and the dessert was out of this world 😄 But, what made this a spectakulare evening, was the Lady Irina from Belarus.... More

First impression is that they should perhaps at one point stopped adding more stuff to the decor. Perhaps that moment would have been when you cannot see the wallpaper any longer. This place is stuffed with model ships, stuffed animals, paintings and a lot lot more. It's not exactly subtle. Still, the kids liked it. We were sitted promptly and... More

We (two of us) had dinner at Restauracja Gdanska in early September 2014 and while we did not find the food or the atmosphere (or the value for money) to be outstanding, we did have an enjoyable meal. Before coming to the restaurant in the evening, we had stopped by during the day to enquire whether we needed a reservation... More

The owner is very proud of the visitors of the restaurant, so lot of memorabilia are displayed. But the cuisine is delicious, and restaurant has an unforgettable atmosphere.

The location is very nice. The food is okay. The service is very, very slow. When we finished, it took forever to get the check, then forever to get the credit card machine to pay. And, they were not particularly busy.
