Lovely & beautiful place

I have to agree with the other raving reviews: beautiful functionalist architecture and design, nice food (great carrot cake!), pleasant service. Definitely a good place to rest after a visit to the Tugendhat villa.

The Kavarna (Cafe) ERA is less than 10 minutes walk from the famous Villa Tugendhat. The Cafe is housed in the functionalist style building and it keeps a lovely ambiance indoors with a famous blue staircase. We had a lunch and were very pleased by beer from Dalesice which was so far the best beer we have drunk during our... More

The look and feel of the place is great, a nice place to visit for lovers of architecture. The food is basic, the menu small but the quality is pretty much ok. Too bad it is pretty far from the real city centre.

The building of Era is another functionalistic gem nearby the famous Villa Tugendhat. Not only was this building authentically reconstructed, so you can enjoy your cup of coffee in a beautiful surroundings, you can also chose your meal from a daily menu, which changes according to a seasonal offer from local producers.

Perfect food, close to Vila Tugendhat. For such a good value for money. They change menu every day. The service is very good, young men, smailing. Beautiful outside garden.

Sophisticated-alternative good looking and pleasant environment. The young team have a passion for what they do and they seem to know just about everything about coffee, tea, and food. I have a meal there every time I visit Brno, have never been disappointed, and quite a few times pleasantly surprised by cuisine as a clever marriage of traditional Czech and... More

Good service, great architecture and caffee!!! Quiet and not touristic place, great for a small break. Very good food, we chose nudles and meat and it was an excellent choice. Price not very low but still ok.

Excellent food, wine and service in this interesting house. A functionalistic gem from the 1920s nicely renovated after years as a storeroom for the university. Great colors. There is an outside area upstairs, don´t miss that.
