A architecture juwel that you can enjoy drinking a coffee or eating some food. The caffe is not a cheap one but for fans of this style of course a must to visit.

Lovely little cafe, worth visiting if you go to Villa Tugendhat as the style of architecture is similiar. We sat in the lovely garden, but it was nice inside also. Staff were very professional and friendly

A side note: The food is excellent! We've had a duck with dumplings, but the chalk-on-whiteboard menu offers quite some variety, and changes frequently, not least due to the fact they seem to have fresh ingredients for a couple of portions of each dish per day.

Kavarna Era is one of my favorite restaurants in Brno (where I lived for one year). It's located outside of the city center, which means you actually get to visit a real Czech residential neighborhood (and one of the nicest in Brno). The building itself has an interesting inter-war history that is worth looking into for architectural enthusiasts who are... More

Excellent, just around the corner from Vila TUGENDHARD. An absolute must when you visit Brno, both Vila and café.

Can't fault this place really. The menu is all on a chalk board but the waiter translated it perfectly. An easy walk from the villa I would recommend this place for lunch. Seems to get some trade from the uni so probably gets busy in summer. Has a beer garden out the back which I imagine is nice in summer.

I had lunch at Era before my english tour of Villa Tugendhat. It is a great introduction to the architectural features you will see at Tugendhat. The floating staircase is impressive. The menu is written on a chalk board in czech but the staff speaks english. I had the chicken wrap and a beer. The food and service were good.

We had an early evening meal here after visiting the nearby Tugendhat Villa. Beautifully renovated, Josef Kranz’s charming Cafe Era of 1927-29 is a modern and sleek cafe/restaurant in an iconic building. We had a lovely steak, beautifully cooked and accompanied by some great Moravian pinot noir. Service was excellent, very friendly. Be sure not to miss this place if... More

I recomand all the food, wine and beer there. Uncommon interior, very interesting exhibition about the functionalist architecture in Brno and Era history. Really nice service. Great for family lunch or dinner.
