Avia restaurant was one of my favorite restaurants in Brno. They had excellent service and food for a good price. But now they had a new owner, and maybe thats why the quality of the food is down. Bye bye Avia :-(

Set in an functionalist building; this is sort of an interesting restaurant with new daily menus created using fresh and local ingredients. Non-smoking restaurant. Next door is a billiard saloon - interesting place.

The interior may surprise you - big cold hall recalls the trainstation hall. Food is every day fresh and very tasty. On weekend I recommended booking in advance.

New menu every week and daily offers of fresh fine mediterran food. This all for very good price. Tasty wines and coffee. One of my favourite restaurants in the city!

You propably pass this restraurant/cafe for the first time. This really hidden delicious mediterranean cousine spot has strange entrance door and even weirder interier, which looks like a big trainstation hall. Food is fresh prepared from fresh ingredients and they have also everyday changing menu (fishes, meats). We havent gone wrong with pasta here. Hipster service is slower with beer... More

Food is ussually good, service as mentioned up and down. Very large room, chairs make screetching sound, when busy very noisy. Would go back only because of the food. Missing toilet paper.

If you're visiting Brno to enjoy and learn more about its functionalist architectural heritage, you cannot miss Avia. The restaurant is located in the basement level of the Hussite Church, designed in 1928 by Jan Višek. The food is delicious, the service is just right. Unpretentious and genuine we absolutely enjoyed the experience. If you fancy a game if pool... More

+ really good meals + attentive service staff + price/value ratio + interesting place (located in the basement of the functionalist church, one of the first sacral buildings in functionalist style) + non smoking (what is normal in the rest of the Europe is unfortunately not normal in the Czech republic (yet)), so enjoy your meal without cigarette smoke -... We weren't sure going in but this place was fantastic. Great food and drinks made fresh on the premises. Helpful staff explained the specials menu in English. We had risotto and a mushroom/meatloaf, both were delicious as was desert. Would certainly return if we weren't leaving.
