Normally I try to avoid restaurants with multilingual menus and sometimes even the ones recommended in the Lonely Planet, but we went to this restaurant as a group and I don't regret it! The meals were nice (good size) and affordable, and the atmosphere in the restaurant wasn't bad either. The service was adequate. I recommend you take a traditional... More

If you wish to "taste" Moravia, come to Spalicek restaurant at the upper right corner of the Veggie (Zelný) Market in the center of this city. All the soups are hearty, thick and made of fresh ingredients. One portion of soup could be a satisfying lunch meal for those on fat diet. Especially good are local dishes such as various... More

If you want good local food with nothing fancy this is your place. Traditional Czech food and great beer. Service was excellent, our waitress was definitely good, she understood both English and German. The mushroom soup was excellent and I loved the schnitzel and potatoes. All my friends loved their food, too. Prices are very good, too. Remember though that... More

If you want to enjoy a traditional Czech meal, visit the restaurant Spalíček. It has really a bohemian smell and stamp with good beer.

This restaurant is located in downtown area near local farmer's market. We ordered one garlic soup, one potato with mushroom soup, and a plate of wild pork meat with potatoes. For drinks we had Starobrno Beer and local wine Frankovka. The food was tasty, the drinks were delicious, and the weather was excellent (we had an outdoor seating)... What else... More

Not fancy by any means, this is a good traditional restaurant. We were only in Brno for the day, so it was nice to be able to sample a local beer.
