This restaurant is obviously overrated! We arrived for a late lunch and ordered traditional Czech dishes. The food was definitely ok, but nothing more than that. The atmosphere and service were ok as well.

We travel a lot and depend on trip adviser to show us the gems in each city we visit. Most of the time the places are great but occasionally they are exceptional. From start to finish U Kroka was exceptional! We had garlic soup, wild boar with sour cabbage and dumplings, the sirloin with roasted garlic and potatoes al gratin,... More

Far from the center but worth it. :) Good quality, everything was fresh and very tasty! We ate here twice during our weekend in Prague. Price was really good during lunch time. Friendly service. :) I highly recommend!

This was probably my favorite restaurant in Prague. If we ever go back to Prague, we'll be going here. Good wine and great food. The prices are cheap too. Fun atmosphere.

This was the highest rated of 4 restaurants we ate in during our stay. Sadly it was the least satisfying. That's not to say it was poor it wasn't, it just wasn't as good as anticipated. Service was excellent, atmosphere spot on but the food just wasn't good enough for a restaurant so highly rated. Portions were large and the... More

Unsurprisingly U Kroka is pretty popular, and it's sensible to book (easy enough through their website). Classic Czech cuisine is on offer, at a very reasonable price. Staff are very pleasant and welcoming, the Urquell is very well kept, in fact everything was first rate. Even during a very short stay in Prague we made sure we went back for... More

There are just so many places in Prague where you can get traditional Czech dishes served the way pubs have served them for decades. That's not a criticism - it's somehow reassuring. But U Kroka offers something different. It's how Czech cuisine would have developed if it had not locked itself away for so many years, lacking exposure to outside... More

Popped in for lunch after a wander around Vysehrad as I remember seeing it pop up on trip advisor quite high, so pleased we did! It was very busy with local business people for lunch, which is a great sign. The food was nice, portions good. Only criticism is it came out so fast and mine and my step dads... More

Great food and great atmosphere. The serving of the pork knuckles was quite big, as was the pork ribs. I highly recommend dropping by this place if you get a chance but try to make a reservation if possible as it tends to get crowded

Reading the reviews, we decided our last dinner would be here. Again little out of the centre, but worthwhile to go. The staff is so nice and helpful. The food was outstanding. Great beer and price very good. We had the soup of the day and steak. Marvellous!!!
