We were also impressed by a very high rating of this place on TripAdvisor. Thus, having planned to visit Vysehrad, we decided to eat out lunch U Kroka. Absolutely magnificent soup, delicious main dish (especially the sauce for the pasta) - no need to mention beer :) Excellent value for money. And also, very very friendly service, not cheating on... We ate at U Kroka twice during our stay in Prague. The staff were very friendly, helpful and the service was superb. The food was amazing, well presented and excellent value for money. We would highly recommend U Kroka but would advise making a reservation as it is very popular.

Chose on the basis of reviews and it didn't let us down, the restaurant has a contemporary feel but the menu is a mixture of traditional Czech and a selection of other options. I was travelling with a Slovak family so I reckon they were in a good position to judge! We had a few starters to share (Czech cheeses... More

This restaurant really deserves its top-three ranking in TripAdvisor. The food is awesome and the service is great. If you want to try typical Czech cuisine during your stay in Prague, this is the place. Be sure to make a reservation.

The prices are very good for the service and the taste. I recommend roasted duck and the steaks. Try white & dark beer mixture.

This restaurant was right by our hotel and we didn't even know, but we had such an amazing meal!! Lovely polite service and delicious food with generous portions, and it was well priced- a huge meal for two with wine, beer, sides and two lovely mains came in at under 500Kc. Definitely worth a fifteen minute walk out of the... More

This restaurant gets great reviews for good reasons, the food, the atmosphere and attentive staff. A cool vibe that could be anywhere in the world. But be warned, the crowds have found it and you must make a booking. Social media has made it too popular. But do not miss this one. Make a reservation and GO. Do it! It... More

This restaurant is highly over ranked on T.A. and I m still asking myself why!! 15 min waiting for the waitress, ordered 2 Czech specialities, waited for another 30 min and .... disappointment! I didn't expect for "haute cuisine" but i can include the food between poor and average! And yes, related to the kitchen, I can say that I... More

Hi there, thank you for writing this review. Unfortunately we have nothing to take from it. If our place gets really busy in the evening, it takes a while to get your dishes. I’m sorry no one told you when you got in. From other reviews we know our kitchen is not bad in general and if something was wrong... More

We found this restaurant on Trip Adviser and, due to the high ranking, decided to give it a try. Though the waitress was nice, the 3-point rating is the best i can offer. The waiting time for out plates (very simple ones, traditional food, nothing fancy) was a jarring 30 minutes, on a Saturday, 18 o'clock, with the restaurant not... More

Hi there, thank you for writing this review. I’m sorry you had to wait for your meals, but our dishes are freshly prepared upon guest's order and a few at the same time incoming tables and it may take a while. Of course you can get your plates quicker in fastfood type of restaurant but we are not one of... More
