The trick with this place is finding it -- a location about a mile from the nearest metro, well off the beaten tourist path. But it's worth the trip. Helpful and attentive staff serve delicious local dishes. Perhaps the best part comes at the end with the bill. Two beers, two glasses of wine and two entrees came to about... More

U Kroka is a medium sized restaurant south of Old Town in a neighborhood with small businesses and residences. We experienced excellent food at reasonable price combined with great service. We ordered a variety of dishes and all were carefully prepared and delicious. The house wine was more than adequate and there were several beer options. Our waiter spoke excellent... More

Nice restaurant with very good service and great cheap food. It's located a little outside of the old town. We went here for lunch/dinner at 3 p.m and had several dishes with local meat and spicy chicken, Everything was nicely prepared and really good. The only downside with the place is that they only have local red wine. So if... More

This place is just off the normal beaten path, but definitely worth the trip. When I first walked in, I wasn't all together impressed, that is of course until I got my food. I ordered the stuff chicken breast. The chicken was delightfully tender and the portion size was just right. Definitely was one of the better chicken dishes I've... More

I arrived with another two who had arranged a meal as I was visiting the city only for one night - I was not left disappointed - The duck was to die for and the potato dumpling - the very best - all washed down by some wine - which was part of a fist class wine list - the... More

Once again I trust in Tripadvisor. And once again I've spot on. A palatable spinach soup, a tender veil with risotto for me and two gentle slices of beef for my wife and a chocolate coulant for our dessert and we almost popes up! Very kind staff with a fluent English. And best of all: it was near our hotel... More

Sadly we found this wonderful place on our last day of meetings at the Congress Center, which is situated a ~10-minute walk nearby through the Vysherad. The outdoor terrace was perfect for a warm, sunny afternoon. The menu offered reasonably priced, good food, with lots of traditional items. Service was friendly and efficient. Lunch menu was more limited than the... More

It's essential to make a booking here, otherwise you end up eating on the deck at the front shivering with one of the provided blankets for warmth. We had starters of oven baked chicken wings which were tasty, but messy to eat, and marinated cheese, which was delicious. Mains comprised of boneless roast pork knee, with gnocchi and vegetables, which... More
